How do you think Wilson is connected to everything?

As is known, each short given with a character refresh either connects characters to the lore, and each other, or is just cool fighting scenes (I'm looking at woodie and wigfrid here), what I'm asking is, how do you think Wilson's short is going to go?

Well we already know a lot about how he got into the constant and what he was up to before entering the constant from the short and journals. I'm going to guess that it's going to be like Maxwell's where it gives a bit of story continuation.

There is nothing about Wilson's past that we need to know. He is perfect the way he is and we don't need to be shown his familly/friends.

Using his cinematic to expand the lore started by Maxwell's cinematic is something that Klei could do, but I hope they won't. That'd just feel disrespectful to Wilson, to use his time in the spotlight as a "see what this franchise has in store for the forseable future".

You know what would be really cool? If Klei showed us what happened the moment Adventure Mode ended. I want to see from Wilson's POV what exactly occured when Nightmare Throne trapped him. I want to see Them staring at Wilson. I want Wilson to be overwhelmed with Throne's/Their power, him having visions of Ancients' downfall, of Maxwell shaping the world, of Constant developing on its own with its exclusive humanoid species, maybe some future events. I want a proper 'Timeline flying through the screen' sequence, not the "Here's 5 events you know of, flying in circles" stuff that happened in Wanda's cinematic.

I want Wilson's story to be "He freed Maxwell and is currently loaded with shadow power, unbeknown to him. Wilson remembering visions the Throne gave him, usure if they are real or his imagination", with it being properly reflected by his gameplay, of course

I have to agree... I always thought it was a bit odd how little we knew of Wilson's time on the throne considering the importance both he and the throne held in the plot.  We were just sort of... thrusted into the New Reign trailer + Cyclum without much elaboration outside of subjective shots from the aforementioned comic.  The only issue that would arise is that if Wilson *does* hold importance in the next arc (and I'm assuming he will, with how he was framed in Maxwell's short) then they'd have to find a way to have the past flow into the current event(s).  You could argue that he has no powers leftover from the throne because of what Charlie did to him, and that having his short revolve around discovering some latent power could be a form of retconning.  There's a lot you could do and argue for or against, but his refresh should definitely revolve around his time in the Constant/as 'king' (if you could even call it that).  His past has already been alluded to for years, and it doesn't seem to hold much potential for a game-changing rework.

I hope that his short will give us more information about why Wilson wants to be a successful scientist so bad. But I also think that he should receive a good character development like the Maxwell got.(Since we know that Wilson is inspired by Wagstaff's creations my biggest guess would be something related to Wagstaff.)

We know that they were with Charlie at the time and helped her to become the queen of constant. So I really don't think Wilson saw or even felt anything when he was trapped to throne.

Wilson was probably just the most persistent and willing survivor that's why he got to Maxwell first.

Part of being a scientist is going through countless trials to see what works and what doesn't changing things slightly just to see "what happens".

Part of the old motif from don't starve was trial and error with lots of dying/retrying so it works out that the one who succeeded in the end was a "failed" scientist with a lot of time and an "undying" will.

In term of schedule, Wilson rework will come After lunar new year, which is about April 1st 2023.
I wont be surprise if there are nothing change with wilson other than a new video about him.

The A little bit of Drama update stage play reveals what happened to Wilson, Apparently Charlie followed him right back to the throne in secret and then IMMEDIATELY removed him from it once he’s taken it over.

”There’s been a king on this throne long enough, perhaps what this kingdom really needs is a Queen!”

And.. just like that, Wilson’s dethroned.

we had charlie in the throne for 6 years and, ofc, was explained xD

I think theres a few interesting things they could explore. Did the throne affect him in any way, and did he change the world in any way maybe even subconsciusly? Maybe more about the time when it was only him and maxwell together building the portal. 

But mainly it would be nice if the main plot would just move forward. I know that to some extent it never really going anywhere or moving at a snails pace is ideal because the game can be endlessly updated that way, but wilson is supposed to be the main character and theres supposed to be a story in which he is important.

Based on the fact the he caught onto maxwell instantly in the last short, it would be nice to see if he has worked on anything secretely (because he couldnt trust maxwell completely)  to try and escape.

i hope its just some continuation to the story. return of them started some stuff but i felt like there was no progress whatsoever, i want wagstaff and charlie to compete on who messes up with the constant more
