Materials deletion

Thanks for the reply. So there's no way for solids to disappear in the game, without changing their state into either gas or liquid?

For spaceout you can put material on rocket then dispatch the ship. There also a mechanic that if material is above no building zone, it will get deleted, but i wonder if there anyway to deliver materials you want to delete there.

I feel like this would probably work:

This wouldn't work.  In the base game you can build bunker tiles at the top of the map and still have 2 tiles of regolith collect above it in the red zone and you can still send dupes up there to mine it out and collect it.  Spaced Out didn't change these barriers.

The only ways I know of to delete solids is to mine them, (deletes half the mass) feed them to a critter, (hatches only return 50% of consumed mass) have them state change (algae turning to dirt at 125C and then being mined deletes half the mass) or by being in a rocket and abandoning ship.  (I lost over 10 tons of plastic that way once.)

By any chance are you talking about the tower of terror @6Havok9?

Sorry to say they fixed it over a year now; the link to the "Cosmic Calling 478755" release is on the image:

Partial fixes list. 478755

Yep, it was that. I wonder if there Is a way to replicate something similar using flash teleport mechanics.

So: state change from gas, inside tile, to liquid in the available tile above, then a legit freeze of the liquid tile. Further gas/liquid transition would happen above the newly created tile. I guess any debris in the way would get buried. It would also be very impractical even if it worked by actually pushing up debris.

Ok, was a fun thought experiment.:wilson_incredulous:

The teleporting mechanic with airflow tiles still works, but it'd still be limited by the build limit on the top of the map.

I did some tile destroying a couple of years ago - totally advised against; I'm still playing on the same map against all odds.
