The protag trio ( Wilson, Maxwell, Winona )

I feel like Winona is the protag since she in a lot of Dst short.

And also what do you think of them?

It's Wilson and Maxwell.  Winona isn't a protagonist.  Wagstaff is the deuteragonist of the story at the moment.  She's a side character.  Her only importance to the story is that she is related to Charlie and employee of Wagstaff.

Well that's obvious.  Winona doesn't really do anything though.  She's just present.

She connected the dot to the lore and also conneted to lore more than any other person except maybe Maxwell.

Just because she has lore importance doesn't mean she's a protagonist.  So far the only connection to the lore we've really seen from Wilson is that he owned a PR-76 radio from Wagstaff and he's had more importance than her in the story.  She hasn't acted upon anything.  She's only in the background in shorts for a reason.  The only time she's of any importance in an animated short is in the Forgotten Knowledge short where she slightly stops and looks at Charlie in shock.  That's it.  Until she does something of major importance in the story such as finding Wagstaff or convincing him to join the survivors she will always be a side character.

Maxwell hasn't done anything major after the mainstory why can he still be one of the main character? And with all that, I still think Klei is pushing her to be one of the main character so even if you don't think she is she still one of the main character.

I don't think they're pushing her to be a main character.  They're simply including her into the story and short.  Since otherwise people would forget she was a character and ever existed in the first place.  Hence why most people on the forums joke about her.  She's forgettable, unimportant, and most importantly not a main character and never will be until she does something pivotal and important to the plot.  Then I will acknowledge her existence as a main character.  Right now Wanda has done more important stuff than her and she has been in one short, that being her own, she has lined up a possible new storyline if KLEI decides to go through with it.

and her importance to the story is: nothing, she isn't, her involvement doesn't mean anything not yet and probably not ever charlie gives 0 shits about her

As much as Winona is trying to be DSTs' Wilson, I still ultimately feel like Willow is a better candidate for a "Main protag trio".
Wilson and Willow are always side by side, its everywhere! In-game options, promo material, shorts, musicals, they're very connected.
Winona and Maxwell aren't nearly as present, I'd love for them to both get more representation, actually.
Winona is catching up there with her appearing in some more recent shorts but if I were forced to pick the main 3, I'd say its Wilson, Willow, and Maxwell. With Wilson and Willow being the "dynamic duo" and Maxwell being the obvious outlier that're forced to cooperate in such dire times!
