Waoling
I like the idea of healing and medicinal items they make the world so much more interesting, but they get outclassed by FOOD in terms of healing, I think we can make DST healing and medicinal items much better if some effects could only be cured by healing and medicinal items and make healing, for example, electric damage can sometimes paralyze you ( and other mobs ) lighting will have more chance of paralyzing you than bishop or volt goat and most of the time it would slowly disappear, paralyze mean you randomly get stunted, using healing and medicinal items would cure, and help prevent that, and medicinal items give character extra stats boost, give them positive effect, and different healing mechanic, most healing items would never rot but medicinal items do rot but last longer than FOOD and also doesn't affect the product, sometimes almost rotting makes it better, and medicinal items are much more safe than most healing items, but also it should have more positive effect on the player to counter that rotting, but to make food still important most of the healing and medicinal items are much more expensive and rescouse consuming than crockpot recipe. Echsrick
the upside of healing salves and honey poultrice is that they never spoil, and so are easy to storage for later if needed, there realy is no need to have these spoil now too, and what could be more healing salves there? a big healing that heals everyone around that is not from a character? Wormwood is packed with overtime-healing mechanics and yet people rarely play it on public servers (of course it may be partially because it's DLC character but still). I would rather prefer to see adjustments of present healing items (especially honey poultice and tillweed salve - 4 reeds for 30 health it's really not worth the trouble and tillweed salve is just terrible). Spiders are very easy to kill in bulk, especially as a couple characters, and I usually accidentally end up with stacks of glands. Lyl2333
I always prefer healing items because I don't like binge eating even in virtual world. It gives me cyber stomach-acid retroflex just by looking at a character eating 40 pierogis and that's also why I don't play as Wolfgang. However I think emphasis on food is necessary when the game is called don't STARVE it's like a feature of the game. Some of the recipes are so weird (Milkmade hat, Shroomcake, etc) I like them. Owlrust
An AoE throwable heal would be pretty cool. We have Wortox, but everyone should have a chance to heal each other mid-battle. Would be great for hired mobs like Pigmen, Bunnymen, Merms, and Rock-lobsters too. GodIess
Considering that the crafting of this heal is rather complicated, it should be given a quick heal and then a gradual one, thus it will be able to compete with other healing items 3 hours ago, Owlrust said: An AoE throwable heal would be pretty cool. Frosty_Mentos
I don't see the point in this. We got tons of healing food the medicinal items are just there for non spoiling quickheals that would last you forever compared to foods that you need to have bundling wrap to keep a ton stored at all times. Bee queen brings bundling wraps to keep that healing from spoiling and herself brings in a powerful regenerative healing item that is jelly beans. What's the purpose of lower tier healing items and other kinds when we can just munch down tons of pierogi or anything else along jellies and be on our way to deal with another boss? Since food dominates over medicine, perhaps it should stay that way considering we are also playing a game titled "Don't Starve." Wortox exists as a healer too, but he doesn't appear in boss fights most often and is easily replaced by food too. Unless you fight as him together or solo then remember that everything else in the game replaces his uses to do much better job at and you can always rely on having food around instead of Wortox mains or just Wortox players. Be a Wormwood or a farmer for a while and you'll be stocked with potatoes and no care in the world. Health and hunger both sated. Unless you play to kill bosses as solo Wormwood, then that's another can of worms(wood). Perhaps the only character benefitting of those items overall instead of needing to actually farm you just battle and craft. Overall, healing salves been a big and useful thing often in the game. I'm more surprised noone rushes honey poultice since you can just gather a ton of honey and reeds early and be set on healing for a while... I guess it's a lot of work considering that you gotta find specific the locations to get those items. So um... Renewable Reeds refresh when?
