Who do you main and why?

I mostly play wendy as she is one of the best characters for sailing. Having abigail to help fight of sharks / cookie cutters, as well as provide light out at sea is very helpful.

Webber, because I wanted easy silk, and have been on the same world for a long time.

Game was started around Winter's Feast, so being able to sleep in spider dens also came in handy.

I main Wortox!

For me, he has the most unique play style of all survivors, his quotes are wonderful and being kind of a outcast just wanting to live to his fullest resonates with me!

He's also very useful to any comp, he can be played in different ways (you can be a warrior, a base builder, a explorer...) and has a idle animation than warms my heart everytime. The animation and his little teeth!

 

(To add: I'm really a fan of monster characters! My other favorites are Wormwood, Wurt and Webber. But with them, I always feel that at some point my work is done, where Wortox will always help the team with his heals)

Wickerbottom cuz I like magic / spell themes and she a lot of power and zero cons (no one uses tents anyway, and eating spoiled stuff... who does that?)

I learned how to deal with Wormwood entirely because I love them dearly 

Their health downside was BRUTAL to me, since I sucked at combat hard. But now in DST that particular mechanic is waaaay more manageable. But back in the day I endured only for the charm of the little plant fella.

Wendy I enjoyed a lot, even prerework, for the hands-off abigail combat but shes also just a great character. Wurt grew on me a ton as well, I think she has a few more flaws playstyle wise (at least for me) but shes just a wonderful little fish.

Woodie.

I already made a topic about it, but to me he's the best character about a lot of things, rushing lunar island for obvious reasons, but also rushing ruins

Since the new QoL update, the idols don't even spoil anymore, making him even better and less micro-managing/frustrating

When you know the ins and outs about what your transformations allows you to do, the character becomes insane

He also negates the 2 most annoying things to me in this game: being long to chop trees and exploring (Goose my beloved, you changed the game for me)

I like to play Wurt solo or in a coordinated team, Walter when I'm just joining random pubs.

But my true main will always be Walani. I love surfing, I love her personality, I love her Ukulele sounds. She's very similar to a Shipwrecked Wilson with just enough differences to give her a specific and fun niche. I hope more than anything that Klei eventually adds her to DST so I can proceed to never play another character besides her again.
