[Game Update] - 487223 & 487396

Hi everyone,

Just a small hotfix today to deal with a couple of issues introduced in the Buff and Shine update. 

Update 487223

Fixes

  • All Versions
    • Fixed issue causing some entities drawing behind buildings.
  • Base Game Only
    • Fix issue causing some legacy saves to stop getting meteor showers. 

 

Update 487396 

Fixes

  • All Versions
    • Fixed issue causing Conveyor Rail items to render on the wrong layer. This applies to new items entering the Conveyor Rail. Items currently traveling on rails may remain mislayered.

This is directly after loading in.  Sometimes it does bug out, but usually after playing for some time.

I fosee GPU computed physics in future? Imagine if ONI physics and pathfinding calculaitons ran on GPU, this game would support like 10000 dupes 100000 mobs without sweat.

I hate CPUs so much, they are so damn slow!

I can't play 24/7 each new update :p. It's a save file started on the last live update. If I can reach 4 digit number of cycles with it, I'll see how that goes. I wouldn't expect my old laptop to even load a 1000+ SO save and have it be playable (without overheating). The real difference that more fps have to the game (at least for me) I think it is irl playing time but that was obvious from the Benchmark testing and the results of it (I haven't put new pc through that yet)

Current update, same save file

Both seem to run smooth and usually in the ~20 fps of old pc, the game looks smoother than in the 60 fps of the new pc :indecisiveness:

 

run that benchmark test what we have in forum, to you get 100 sec at there?
