Time : 1:46 or 106 seconds
CPU :  AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor @4.75GHz
Graphics card : GTX 1660 TI
RAM : 32 GB DDR4 3733 Mhz

CAS :  16 16 16 28 42 290 (Trfc) Command Rate 1
HDD : SSD Samsung 970 Evo M.2 1TB

Note: I have overclocked my CPU / Ram / GPU (which has no effect on this benchmark)

I have adjusted every overclock in detail and spends weeks on some things and finding more information and testing everything.

Let me know if anyone need more information, this is pretty bare since a lot of factors count in.

Time : 3:04 (184 sec) 3:03 (183 sec) (with libgamemode: 3:00 (180 sec) 3:06 (180 sec))
CPU : AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Six-Core Processor
Graphics card :  Radeon RX 580 Series8G (saphire)
RAM : 2x8GB G.Skill Aegis DDR4-3000 DIMM (16GB)

CAS : CL16, 18, 18, 38 (F4-3000C16-8GISB)
SSD:
OS (and savefile): Samsung SSD 970 EVO 250GB (sata)
Game: Samsung SSD 850 Evo 250GB (M.2 NVME)

Additional info:
I'm running Pop!_OS 21.04 with KDE desktop environment
libgamemode improved load times by around 15 second (2:20 --> 2:05), runtime wasn't affected but i guess that would change with more programs running (thinking of OBS)

that is almost prefect result as 100 sec is possible

Everyone loves a good benchmark:

Time : 130.01 seconds (2:10.01)
CPU : Intel i7 9700 at 4.9GHz (all core)
Graphics card : RTX 2080Ti
RAM : 32GB @ 3200MHz

CAS : 16-18-18-38
HDD :  Game is on a Samsung SSD 970 (NVMe), save file is on an 860 EVO (SATA)

I was surprised, but I suppose not in retrospect, the effect that RAM gubbins had on the results.

I am shocked by that result, the i9 9980XE is more of a workstation CPU but still I though it would be much closer to my results. It took your system 55% longer to do 300 in game seconds. Only thing I can see that might be hurting your times is the spindle drives, that is the only explanation I can think off.

Yeah, this CPU doesn't seem to be very good for single core type applications compared with others

DDR4 2666 MHz, your memory is like 400 mhz faster its very big number

The memory speed should definitely play a role in this!

i not know what motherboard he have but he could speed up with "X299X AORUS MASTER" atleast up to 4333 mhz

I did another test with XMP enabled (and libgamemode):

Time : 2:47 (167 sec) 2:47 (167 sec)
CPU : AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Six-Core Processor
Graphics card :  Radeon RX 580 Series8G (saphire)
RAM : 2x8GB G.Skill Aegis DDR4-3000 DIMM (16GB)

CAS : CL16, 18, 18, 38 (F4-3000C16-8GISB)
SSD:
OS (and savefile): Samsung SSD 970 EVO 250GB (sata)
Game: Samsung SSD 850 Evo 250GB (M.2 NVME)

Additional info:
I'm running Pop!_OS 21.04 with KDE desktop environment
XMP did surprisingly improve times a bit! ONI might not be CPU bottlenecked but rather bandwidth bottlenecked similar to factorio as both games are base building sims.

I sincerely doubt that the motherboard is the single point of "speed up" possible, since the "up to" is more of an upper bound at which the RAM modules installed may run, not at which it will, since that is defined by the silicon in each module.

I suspect the performance hit, and main difference, comes from the configuration of the modules (physical slots populated, according to motherboard specs) and RAM speeds (which may or may not be graded to run at any higher, thus overclocking them, plus checking the timings at which it will run, when let's say it is set to 1800MHz DRAM freq.)

Time : 2:31(151 seconds)
CPU : AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Graphics card : AMD Radeon RX 5700XT
RAM : 2667 16gb (complete garbage here) if i set memory profile in bios to 3200 with 16-18-18-36, time becomes 2:24(144), but it is kinda unstable

CAS : 16/18/18/39
ssd: GIGABYTE GP-GSM2NE3100TNTD

motherboard: MSI X470 GAMING PLUS

I am shocked that some People are as slow as me. Also your Cycle 2k save runs better than my 1.5k file where I am only on 2 planets. That is not fair...
