DLC Classic Terra Seed Xchange - Post what you like :)

I followed the clever @sakura_sk way of spawning maps several times to see what I win, by looking up the spawn asteroid in the star map.

After some tries in the silicon lottery I won seed V-SNDST-C-1467854125-1M3 :adoration:  ...which covers several of my play needs. Perhaps not the max possible water spawns, but a nice resource variety selection for me. It won`t take too long now and I will ( in nearby time ) change my dlc rating to a positive one on Steam.

Yum yumm yumm ! If you have a seed you like, share it and write what you like about it. :p

Its really playing now like I expected it to be on day 1 of the dlc access. If you want to restart and start fresh Gurgel, I find its well worth it :encouragement: The only biggie I`m still missing from the base game is Regolith...

I actually have not played in a few weeks. But this makes me want to start a new colomy. I did pretty much expect for things to take a few months to get there though ;-)

As to Regolith, I think it is back since Friday: 

  • Added voles & regolith back to the surface of the Terra moonlet.

I wish you a lot of joy. Ohhhh, with the Regolith...that could really be :p:-o. I was digging for hours and my sub conscience was seeing Regolith, but I didn't pick up on it because I didn't dig far enough up to see it raining down. NOW you got me excited! :eagerness:

Its true digger land now..."did dig dig dig digger man!" I used to dance to that club song. :lol:

Found ( non renewable ) Uranium :encouragement: ....ooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh ! I had to rub my eyes...

Total great surprise :x

Raining down ( radioactive? ) regolith + basic metal yield from renewable regolith is the last thing I expect, then I`m really happy with the DLC Terra Classic map. So many great biomes in it, including the steel crabs :excitement: Well done Klei ! Finally a great home base map which can be played with long term expansion plans :adoration: No more water and temperature bean counting, really great :bee:

Great for beginners, resource explorers, big base builders, big base decorators, exciting survival mode experiments, colony/city builders and mass resources Factorio players and non-bean counters. The ideal mega port base map for future interconnected space mass cargo operations IMHO or however someone wants to play and do things. I`ve spent 10 hours digging on fast forward, haven`t seen the map bottom yet...I`m hoping to find fossil for steel. :rolleyes:

The first thing I will explore the galaxy for, at some later point, is lead for 50 suits + mass oil + fossil/steel + megatons water/ice.

I`m coming partly the bottom. Took 15-20 hours for me, currently have ~40 dupes, mainly digging, sealing hot stuff and building basic first things.

FOSSIL & LEAD ! Yeah :D

Such a fun map to play, with great resources ! A dream came true... Its so much fun :p

The dig-much, think-big, build great, have fun, big mac mega map :encouragement:

I hope I understood your question right :p With the original map seed I played the seed lottery for quite some time, to make sure that no standard volcano is in my map. For me it does not make sense to play the seed lottery in a way to aim for a standard volcano, if I can have a metal volcano ( as example ) instead. I find playing the map lottery is great fun :bee:.

These +600/kg co2 ( several hundred ) tiles in the uranium fields are a real killer. I built ~50x carbon skimmers to counter them - Great lower map play fun after managing the basics in the map. :afro: I loved  countering the co2 mass mega challenge, but only because I had many dupes with lots of resources at hand :x. Perhaps that many tiles with that high co2 pressure is bit too extreme for others :confused: If a beginner un-digs and opens up too many of the uranium`s co2 tiles, then it can easily fill the entire map with co2 ( player suicide ). I would recommend generating max 10/kg per co2 tile @EricKlei

Yeah, you understood my question.  I'd forgotten you were eschewing standard volcanoes, which I like as a renewable source of geothermal power and hatch food.

Hey my friend :cheerful:

The recent DLC Classic Terra map is superb fun, the world generator throws out nice resource compositions in the map. Just keep in mind that a fully excavated map + automation + gadgets and gigaton of dupes/critters will suck systems to the knee`s :rolleyes:

At the end ( 1300 cycles or so ) I built in 8 hours what I built in 30 minutes in the beginning. For me it also was a big mistake to say hello to a 2nd cluster in the game, too much game performance sucking !

Still, super fun :congratulatory::angel: ...I still haven`t built the fat reactor once ! Ghnihihi...

Normally I would need to wait 2 years for Klei game performance optimizations and build a new ONI cpu pc for my save files then. Maybe I will give it a go this year again, the ONIdiction will get too much. :ghost:
