Now there are dozens of goats on the map, and they can walk on the sea. Bird Up Posted October 11, 2020 Share Posted October 11, 2020 from what i remember goat herds have a cap, so they won't breed totally uncontrollably. they do sometimes appear on the ocean if their spawner is very close to the shore. you can just kill them and hopefully let the remaining goats on land change their herd location, it updates periodically. It’s NOT just goats, it’s Hounds & Spider Warriors too and it’s happening on Xbox One- It’s probably got A LOT to do with an upcoming game update.. so I’m not too worried about it. Unlike some other games Klei never shuts down DST to perform hours upon hours of maintenance while YOU try to log in and fail because you get a message reading ”Down for Server Maintenance” Klei Works Differently- They provide us content updates WITHOUT taking the game down for server Maintenance, and.. you can’t expect the game to run flawlessly all the time because of that. Mike, that's NOT how anything like that works. OP was propably using unstable mods. You, instead, have a version that's unmodifiable. I don't believe this game has big server infrastructure like MMOs do that require it to go down for maintenence. It seems like it's just an item server then the actual servers that you connect to. You can even play it offline, although I believe that makes you lose access to your items. Pretty much Klei servers just allow logging in, the entire game server hosting is on your side. Yeah I’m on Xbox so it’s a problem with the latest game version and not something caused by mods, also another important thing to note: Attacking these Mobs that are floating/hung up over Water do not do any good.. because new ones will just immediately appear out of thin air.
