Am I missing something with Inimical Gestalts? I drop the shards, they spawn, and...they attack me. I thought it was because I was wearing bone armor so I removed it, but they just seem to do nothing, or attack me, I don't get it. I attack something and they just float around, no help.

they aren't supposed to be minions, they were designed to be drawback to the jewel crown and then it got changed into weird nonsense

Ohhh, thank you. I'd probably be banging my head against the wall for hours trying to get them to fight what I want if not for this. I mean, even bearger smashing them directly doesn't aggro them. When they made the change it definitely sounded like they wanted it to be like summoning minions but I never really bothered to try it until now heh.

I have absolutely got to ask a question because well to be quite honest about it I question EVERYTHING about life, as a Gemini it’s just in my nature to ponder all the wonders, possibilities & outcomes, rather possible or pure science fiction.

With that said, I’ve read (not just with DST but several Non-Klei related games as well) that the Nintendo Switch seems to have problems running games as smoothly as the PS4 and Xbox One (for example Trinity Fusion has more lag, lower frame rate & it still glitches and crashes on a switch)

So from my understanding of it… the Nintendo Switch is less powerful than a PS4 or Xbox One, Correct?

So then… in the age of PS5 and Series X/S and Switch 2, why are developers even bothering with the outdated tech of the original Switch console? It seems to be headache for developers and gamers alike.

However because I’m not a tech intelligent person, I do not actually know if the switch is the lowest end of the performance spectrum of last generational console platforms or if that’s inaccurate.

I would ASSUME that with developers having issues getting games to run on the platform that it would have to be, but I wanted to ask just to be sure…

And more importantly: Why even release DST on the Switch (1) at all if it wasn’t as powerful as the PS4 & Xbox One? (The game already had problems running on those, so of course switch was gonna be a worse nightmare.)

I guess my main question is why release DST on Switch 1 instead of waiting and releasing it on the Switch 2?

The Switch is an unusually weak console. It struggles to load even exclusive games at a reasonable framerate on its console (Tears of the Kingdom and Xenoblade Chronicles trilogy are notable examples, they were inexcusably laggy at times). It's the biggest issue and compromise Nintendo needed to make in order to have the console become portable, since now the hardware for the switch needs to accommodate its portability. It is far weaker than the other consoles from its generation and it isn't really even close.

In other words, unless a) you're playing a game that's only on the switch or b) want to play a specific game on the go, the Switch is almost always the worst option in terms of choosing where to play a non-exclusive game (or even exclusives, but shh).

I guess to answer the bulk of the question, it's just accessibility. The Switch despite being weak is also the best selling of the three, so that has the widest audience. This is doubly true for the Switch 1 over the Switch 2, since the Switch 2 has been met with a lot of skepticism considering its current lack of exclusives as well as just simply not as many people owning the console due to being new.

What your currently looking at is the “stream your own games” tab on xbox cloud gaming which lets you play the games you’ve purchased through xbox cloud gaming.. DS & DS+SW are Touch Screen playable, but DST is not.

I'm playing and loving the new wx-78 skill-tree and I'm at the point where I have a maul and starting the CC quest. I'm just wondering thought what you guys generally do during the endgame or when most bosses are beaten. Do you restart the game or have some sort of rthymn during the seasons? 

Winter: Klaus, Shark guy, Twins, Deerclops, Spring: Moosgoose, Beequeen, Dfly Summer: Antlier, AFW, AG, Werepig Fall: Nightmare Werepig, Twins again, 

Feels like there is too much downtime sometimes and not enough to do, so how do you keep yourselves busy after CC?

Like when waiting for crystal deerclops and armored bearger? I typically just clean up my base and renovate it, farm pure horror and pure brilliance, fight another cc, farm, look for moon quay if I haven’t, make early warbot preparations since the setup is a grind

Is new circuits abilities addictive or multiplicative? F.e. if WX uses 3 super-hardy and 1 hardy with Alpha-tinkering II does they gets 17.5% resist or 16.4%? Same question for hunger drain and sanity auras.

Does anyone know if wormtails that are planted in the caves re-gen in the winter? I learned a little while ago that planters continue to grow in the caves and that completely changed my wormwood runs. I'm hoping the same for wormtails because healing continues to be the reason I stopped maining Wormwood.

Whoops. I meant Monkeytails to make poultices. I essentially want to farm poultices and need it to be viable during winter because typically most public servers just make it to deerclops and close beyond that.

ah, well as far as i know it runs on the same mechanics as grass(meaning its timer is not affected by caving or by being next to starcaller). you can give it a try in a test world but i don't believe it would work in caves. someone else who spends more time with the code could tell you with more certainty but i've not seen it.

Monkeytails do not grow in the caves during winter.

Thank you for this. My followup question to Wormwood mains then would be, what do you do for healing for short worlds that go into late Winter or Spring? I think it's fairly easy to get 20+ compost wraps in the beginning (1-2 stacks of lightbulbs dropped in water) and I try to get these compost wraps plus a tent and eventually a batbat. Would've liked a good secondary and instant healing item so I've been going back and forth between salves and poultices. Salves seem like it would be super easy to get because you just need to find lunar island and plant a bunch of rock trees (For ashes and rocks) but I think salves have a longer animation.

Usually my go to items are compost wraps and salves. Salves are extremely easy to amass, they do have a slower animation but that's probably the best option.
If you like taming beefalos, you can kill the BQ relatively easily with wormwood for free healing. Plant a couple of mushroom planters in the caves, most of the for blue shrooms and some of them for lunar shrooms. fight BQ and eat lunar shrooms to make the minions sleep when they're hitting or chasing you. when your beefy gets into low health, make everyone sleep and feed your beefalo 8 or more blue shrooms then go back to fighting, then eventually you'll get those candies and you'll have a ton of healing.
