so with wurt, they cannot eat meat, but they get a bonus to all the other food they can eat, what if that was applied to wigfrid, can only eat meat, but that meat is buffed? meat things are generally already good, but meat is a bit harder to come by than other foods, unless you have a meat farm of course. still, i think a perk like that would be a nice addition.

Meat is the most easy food type to get and I dont have in mind any farms. Killing koalefants, beefalos and volt goats is enough to have 2x icebox full of meat.

Not in a rude way, but I dont feel if she needs a bonus, unlike wurt she has low hunger. And meat gives a massive amount of hunger but comes in lower quantities, while fruits and veggies increase other stats like health and sanity more but they come in large numbers and spoil faster.

This guy knows DST's food mechanics. Tbh meat is easier to get if you hunt alot and don't stay in base. Fruits and veggies are usually a base dweller tactic. Unless you're playing Wigfrid like how you live in real life, you shouldn't have problems getting meat. Rabbits, moleworms and frogs are all great sources of food if you truly despise combat. They're renewable and easy to get.

Compared to fruits and veggies however, not only do they take up more space when typing, they also take way too long. You need to set up farms (unless you have Wormwood), plant the seeds and wait. Reliable? No. Constant? No. It's basically gambling. You're waiting a few days to get some random fruits and veggies that may or may not give you much hunger. Mind you, a few days. Which means that unless you're out and about gathering berries and trying to survive, you have basically no food. For a few days. Not to mention you don't have meatballs. Veggies and fruit dishes are unique in that they only restore one stat in great amounts. Trail mix? Hp. Potato puree? Sanity. In fact, you're better off just eating the crops cooked rather than in a crockpot for hunger.

Because of this, Wurt really needs that hunger boost. Wigfrid doesn't. A few minutes slapping mole bums and checking your traps while gathering some berries will get you meatballs. Lots of it. And you don't have to be scared of winter. There's still rabbits and moleworms in winter.

I like your response, makes a lot of logical sense without sounding like it's insulting. I made this topic mostly as a "what if", since they added the perk to wurt. But it makes a lot more sense to keep it on wurt with the comparison you made. farms are rather slow without a wickerbottom or a massive supply of manure, and meat based crockpot foods tend to have the highest hunger restoration.

Wigfrid probably doesn't need this perk then, but it is interesting to consider.
