Arbor tree does not produce seeds?

It is stated that it has "seed chance 10%" but so far in all harvests I never ever encountered a single seed harvested from arbor tree.

All my seeds came from printer pod.

Maybe it is a bug and seed chance applied to the tree itself but not the branches and thus no seed collection is possible

Not sure if this has changed or not.  But my experience was the seeds are generated only when new branches are created.  Harvesting a branch doesn't count as creating a new one.

My work around was to manually remove the branches off the tree using the dig command.  This counted as new branches and started dropping seeds.

The bug is that branch harvesting doesn't count for new acorns, then.  "You have to manually uproot the branches for the tree to register new ones and give you a small chance of a nearby pip doing an undocumented acorn-production task" isn't an intuitive step.

That's true, we got that information after long information gathering from many players in numerous thread. Some from observation, some from reading code. Klei needs to update in-game information about this. Especially when we click on arbor tree still showing seed drop chance like other plants.

Or better yet let the farmers make new seeds when harvesting branches like it was supposed to in the description both ways work fine.

Ah yeah, this does seem to be happening, which makes the seeds a bit too rare naturally & requires a lot of annoying player interaction to force out new seeds. A change to this will be out soon. I'll also change the description that shows a 10% chance of a seed dropping on harvest - the tree was never intended to work that way.

Thanks so much. I want to make a lumberfield/nature reserve combo.
