Don't Starve Together clothes gone

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've had DST for a longggg time, and I was playing today to find out all my specialty clothes disappeared. I play as Wigfrid, and she always has the nightmare suit on, when I got it in a chest years ago. But today it is completely gone, and not even in the weaving compartment. This is happening with my other clothes too. I did not get a new computer, or reset my computer, any one have ideas on what this could be?

Thanks,

Jay

Once you start the game and the world has loaded, try to bring up the debugging information and check that you are receiving "ticks" from the master servers. The game obtains information which items you own from the Klei authentication servers. If it cannot establish a connection your game will presumably blank out all the skins in the inventory.

Edit:

Normally you establish a connection with said servers when you start DST and press "Play!", although if for some reason it cannot connect you will be able to play the game but the game won't let you access any skins.

Log in to http://accounts.klei.com, and then post your Klei User ID. I'll need that to look into the state of your account.

Also go to https://items.kleientertainment.com/HealthCheck, and let us know what you see.

We recently moved some servers around, and if your DNS cache has stale data in it, then you could be trying to contact the old missing servers. You could try running this command from a windows cmd prompt or powershell.

ipconfig /flushdns

That happen with me too, but not all my stuff, but a lot of them like my creepy cauldron, some elegant heads, and the wormwood himself is gone.

1 Emote, emoticons, portraits, profile icons, i had them all now is missing some of each

Just did some point checks are it looks like your items are still in your account (at least some of the ones you mentioned which I checked, like wormwood - which in your account I see created 2019-06-06). More information about the state of your inventory is something we're looking to add to the account website but it's still on the backlog for now. Please boot the game, verify that you don't see your items, then send your log to support so we can take a peek at what might be going wrong on the client side of things.

I also had an experience just like you. When I had too many skins, over 3200, in my case, some of my skins hid themselves from my inventory.

But after I sold some of my skins, and my skin amount went down, my disappeared skins re-appeared.

If you have thousands of skins, maybe storing your spare skins to other steam account will work.

Yeah, if you have over 3000 items, then this is likely the bug you're running into (some items don't appear). It's an issue we're looking into, but don't have an estimate for when we'll have it fixed. As HeatAndRun said, you can either sell, or unravel duplicates, or trade them to a secondary Steam account.

Thanks for the feedback!

You should be able to see the items instantly in-game once you get down to a lower number. To get your Steam inventory to refresh, log in to DST and then check Steam again. Launching DST should trigger Steam to invalidate it's cache of your inventory.

Im doing "inn trade" system right now, i did 11 times, the number change 4685 to 4675 since the trade use 9 items, the results are wrong, i'll keep going.

That's because you actually had more than 4685 items. The database wasn't able to return your actual number of items, so as you get rid of some items, more of the previously hidden items are getting returned.

Ok, I'll go on, there's a number that i could stop ?

Cause is missing some items still

I don't have a precise number for you at the moment unfortunately, but I believe it'll be closer to 3000.

Ok. I'll try to get close, then I trade the last ones

Just for feedback,

Looks like the number is between there 4600~4700
