Congratulations! Yep. That's the one. Read the reviews before buying. There's a spot about 2/3rd of the way through the book where some political theory stuff comes up -- important to note it's theory, but folks tend to mistake political theory for politics... forest for the trees if that makes sense? That and folks love to pretend the author's politics match their characters' politics too, which is also wrong... Either way, only other fair warning I'd give is that the world that series takes place in is *not* a nice place. It's not Game of Thrones level bad, but it's not all sunshine and unicorn farts either... so if politics and the sort of bad stuff one would reasonably associate with being a prisoner of "evilbad fascist types" doesn't bother you, then you might enjoy the book. At any rate, relevant to the thread, I'm pretty damn curious what these new biomes and buildings are. Some of the stuff I've learned about on my path to this physics degree is humorous and sad at the same time. For what it's worth when it comes to my comment about reading the reviews, too... I know it's "bad business" to warn folks about whatever it is you're selling, but the way I look at it... I wrote the book for me and published it because I had a number of friends who liked it. But I realize my writing isn't for everyone... and beyond that, I really do want people to enjoy what they read, so I'd rather not waste people's time and have them buy/read a book they won't like. Principle before profit, as it were. Proof: everything falls towards the center of the universe and since everything falls towards the center of the Earth, Earth must be the center of the universe. It's actually a pretty good theory considering it originated in ancient Greece. The problem is that it was accepted science, which was the argument against all evidence towards placing the sun in the middle. There is also the "good" one about the road building project in England during the 19th century, which discovered a fossil of the missing link. It was a human with a monkey skull. An obvious fake, but it was very convenient for the Victorian scientists to accept it as evidence because it was the proof that England (not UK, England) was the birthplace of all humans. "humorous and sad at the same time" is very fitting for a whole lot of such cases. Unfortunately, I think my Amazon recommendation settings got screwed up when they changed the system a while back and I seem to be missing quite a few good writings lately. And the demented algorithm has still not gotten that I do not want any urban-fantasy-harem-dungeon-LitRpg crap. The way you choose your words, to tell/share your truth / finds / thoughts, is a good one, from my point of view. It's a hard task, to shape thougths - in a form, that other humans, think about it, in a way, you thought of it. Every human is a result of personal education and experience, that makes it hard to find those, who can think free, without carrot/stick. What you describe as "humorous & Sad" i describe in my talks as "sad love" and perhaps 1% is able to "feel" it. I wish you light on all your paths. Im having a lot of fun in dont starve vanilla and paladins while waiting for my beloved oni! . The devs are full of things to do in all of their games at the same time, i just wanted some community manager to keep things " rolling " in the forums to keep the hype. Also still can`t stop playing Apex legends despite being terrible at it (actually one level lower than terrible). I keep getting random ideas what stuff would be useful in ONI but i realize it`s probably too late to suggest it now and the preview might add so much things that my ideas would be obsolette anyway.
