Bring Chester Back To The Shop

I hear yah, I've been working to try and re-stock some items that are sold out and bring some new ones in. Unfortunately manufacturing and designing these products just takes a really long time. I can say improved Spider plush is coming back for sure (better sound boxes). I'm also working on an improved Chester as well (rethinking the structure stitching) I don't have an ETA but the soonest it will be is later this year around Q4 / Fall range.

I'm also trying to do more stuff like the Funko POP deal to create more products outside of our shop in retail and more widely available shops (Amazon etc.) to help make product more widely available in different regions without customs / import fees for fans outside of North America.

But what about the klei store products already in the klei store. Are they also gonna get some of the reduction of the import fees? I personally want to buy calico chester and crabbit plushies but the import fees for Europe are really high.

Long ago Corey said he'll look into solving this issue. The main idea was to organise some sort of pickup groups. When enough orders from said area (let's say, Europe) are made, one big package is sent (all the fees are paid once) and then when it arrives in Europe all the items are being shipped to their respective buyers. Everyone would pay price of the secondary shipping + their share of the big, first fee.

I think it's been over two years though and nothing was done. I guess it's not really possible or something. But a man can dream!

Unfortunately we can't control import fees. The only solution is to open a store in every continent and physically hold and ship goods from different locations, and it's just not possible for us to do, which is why we're looking for additional deals like the Funko one we did.

I'm not sure the last time you checked shipping fees, but we added cheaper bulk rate drop shipping earlier this year. This option is much cheaper than USPS was and you have an option to pre-pay customs (which is cheaper than waiting for the border to charge you).  But we can't do anything about what customs are charged or valued at.

Things like Amazon and Walmart have really skewed the perception of the realities of shipping costs, but we'll keep looking for ways to improve the accessibility of products to more people.

This brings me hope that there will be more Funkos?

If Funko asks us to do more we will, but we have to be invited by them. If the current ones continue to sell well and lots of people ask Funko to make more or suggest new characters to them, the chances are better there will be more.

I had a lot of fun working with them making the first batch, I'm really proud of how they turned out for POPs.  I'd personally love to make more!
