Voxola Radio:
Winona was working at the time of the fire, which leveled the factory. During WW!, so many men were off fighting the Hun(Germans). So women were needed to fill in for jobs and it makes sense that both Winona and Genny would have been hired to make up the slack in the workforce.

Genny represented a number of P.O.C. who emigrated north because of how much poverty there was in the south.

The Voxola radio was state of the art for the 1919s. The fire, which could easily been started by Charlie, would have been caused by the flammable materials in the plant such as the Varnish used in the wooden radio cabinet.

The architecture of the plant looks like a mix of 20th century industrial with Pueblo styling elements and the wires attached to the building tell me it was truly up to date as it had a telephone landline, prior to the introducing of telephone with dials.

On my art session at Taco Bell with my father on Tuesday, I had to remind my father of the Winona short since he saw it but forgot. I had references of the Voxola factory and he took notice of the different details and wanted to write down his thoughts about the time period.

We might be making our own voxola radio in the future for lols.:wilson_ecstatic:

He always mentions being at taco bell when he is talking about dst with his dad.

That sounds weird. I'm pretty sure a normal father son relationship involves ignoring phone calls, disappointing each other, and fighting.

We work on a webcomic together and if I have time, I can finish my art.

You can check it here: underbridgethings.tumblr.com or https://www.facebook.com/UnderbridgeInternet/

We tend to use restaurants as places where we can chat and do art. Just like how Bruce Timm and Paul Dini would do writing sessions at local restaurants in Los Angeles.
