Madbro Posted March 3, 2019 Share Posted March 3, 2019 Hello guys! (•ω•) Like my name does, I am having some mad ideas that not just drives your duplicants mad, but also drives you mad! 1. Fire Long time before I have posted one about it (and now archived by the forum). But recently I see someone is mentioning about FIRE. Happy to see it again. Though that’s not my post, but fire is one of the industrial hazards. 2. Waste gas from other industrial process So you know, generators generates waste gas. But how about industrial machines? Only a few of them does. What I wish for is, for example, smelting generates waste gas such as toxic and deadly monoxides. Or, water sieve pollutes nearby oxygen. 3. Industrial injuries So that your clinic kept busy. Sounds like you’ll need more doctors? (BTW to give a little boost I also want to suggest an idea about a ward which consists of sick beds only, but gives small recovery boost.) 4. Corrosion Ordinery hazard in industrial zones. Acidic enviornment eventually damages machines built with non-corrosion resistant metals especially iron, dropping metal oxides. But the metal oxides can be converted back into metal for repair or other use, by electrolysers. If you love challenges, please support this! The sieve will produce polluted oxygen if you don`t pick up the polluted dirt in time. But i`m ok with the kiln producing CO2. The smelter is alreasy hard to handle for newer players so i wouldn`t change it. But that late game thingy for making thermium should spawn some gas like super hot chlorine or something. 3 hours ago, Madbro said: 3. Like lets say the rock crusher or the glass forge (it occasionally scaldes dupes, make it based on tinkering). AndreyKl Posted March 4, 2019 Share Posted March 4, 2019 Not exactly 'industrial' hazard (unless produced by machines) but having some kind of 'toxic' liquid sounds nice (especially if it harms dupes in some way), may be even a 'liquid-toxic' biome (chlorine biome probably counts as gas one). Mercury could be added for that. It is in the files since forever. It could be added as a liquid to the caustic biome or as a solid to the ice biome.
