Ladybugs - they followed me across 5 biomes and still didn't leave me alone...

The vehement refusal of using the tools the game blatantly hands to you and then complaining about problems that those tools are designed to easily solve, is kind of your own fault.

So you're saying that it's my fault that the entire ecosystem can be devoired by the Rabid Neetles?

Maybe you could read my message, just because I didn't go to the second island quickly and made the eggs hatch on small groups, they killed every Flytrap and Spider Monkey and then multiplied causing lag.

I can understand this destruction if is caused by me, for example, by killing al the Spider Monkeys. and then chopping all the trees meaning that the main controller element of this bugs is gone. But if I don't intervene, is not supposed to be in balance? I mean, is an ecosystem.

That's why we are complaining a little bit about these little friends. They have to be a challenge,of course. I'm not complaining about facing big groups of these bugs because you have the B'gone as you are saying, I'm complaining about how ridiculous it can turn out to be. And yeah, having 100 of these bugs is not a challenge, is simply impossible without God Mode.

And it's not because I like easy games, I actually love a hard games, but a hard game is funny and challenging.

I have to agree with OnlineLawSchoolGraduate here.
Rabid bugs become a non-issue as soon as you craft the Bugs b'gone, which can be done easily on day 1.

the issue is not about the Player facing the bugs...

its about the game lagging to a crawl and the bugs over populating and having no cap on them.

I can face 100 beetles by just going to a gas biome or gassing them myself with some bug spray but the world itself doesn't have that and these guys spawn even in those place where you have not visited yet.

(I play with Wigfrid and I have fought these guys without Bug spray and killed over 70 with only losing a tin suit in my first run)

and when they hatch allll at once the numbers then will be very bad.

and of course they will kill every other mob inside the jungle.

The poison jungle biome doesn’t kill them, unfortunately

Yes there are ways to deal with them, but with the sheer quantity of how many spawn each time humid season rolls around do you actually want to spend most of that time killing beetles instead of actually exploring the rest of the game? If I don't visit every part of the map that can spawn these things during each humid season and kill them off they begin to persist and in certain areas become overwhelming, mainly performance wise. In the beginning I feel they are managable but once your world has rolled around a few years in game you will have a pretty annoying issue, mostly because with my specs im still getting 10-20 fps loss when 50+ of these guys are on one screen. I really just think the numbers need to be toned down mainly for performance reasons and so that I can actually play other parts of the game during that already irritating season.

On that note I have yet to experience a situation where I couldn't handle a group of them with bug-b-gone, to reiterate it's mainly a performance quarrel with me, and the fact that the game-play involved with dealing with the issue seems way more of a chore than an actual "fun" experience, I would equate it to a far more annoying antlion except they're also almost everywhere and persist throughout all seasons.

lemme share this:

> be me

> humid season

> heading back to Herald Island base

> enter gas jungle

> about to get to the ruins when

> fog starts

> i put on my safari cap

> toggle gas mask and safari cap

> take quite a lot of damage

> hatch.ogg

> beetles

> lots of beetles

> they hit me when i slow down wearing the gas mask

> uuuhhhh.wav

this.

aside from the aforementioned sheer numbers causing lag and misery, they strike everywhere and anywhere, even in biomes logically supposed to slaughter them.

nerf them pls.
