Pugalisk is the most original boss, he imposes serious damage (150 with his head and 50 with his tail), only a specific part of his body can be hit. It is very dangerous of Kite Pugalisk, he can kill the player in a very little time, even equipped with an armor. However, it is possible to ride around the fountain to impose them damage, it will be confused to reach you and let you the time to impose him serious damage before to get. With Pugalisk, kite is not so much with other boss, while others, just to dodge to return, with Pugalisk, you must be keen in the right place, and it must be flee so and again to come to the hyburry, but that the fights are more dynamic with him, than with more dynamic for example.

He's a bit tougher than other bosses but I like it that way. He's got a great design and I love the snake bone loot from beating him. I agree that the pugalisk is wonderfully original and a fun departure from the hit-and- run method of fighting other bosses. I had a hard time beating him the first time but he's a lot easier once you make a cup of coffee so he's not quite OP in my books.

I always have problem dealing with Hamlet bosses and although Pugalisk seems to be very simple to deal with I have serious problems dealing with him.

I personally think he's strong despite how simple he can be defeated.

I think same

I wouldn't say he is average compared to the rest to the bosses in vanilla with some more easier kite patterns ... But he is definitely not OP considering he is fairly OK to dodge most heavy attacks... And if you got enough armor you can beat him. I classified him as strong for those reasons

Il est assez simple et il ne vous est PAS imposé comme la majorité des autres patrons qui apparaissent juste à côté de vous, ce qui en fait un défi.

(Bearger étant le plus horrible de tous)

I would like to fight Bearger so much, unfortunately I had a bug that makes RoG bosses do not appear

I would say it is average, at least we agree that it is not OP. Off DST he deals the best damage with his head and he can also inflict damage with his tail. Its hypnotic ray is really annoying and it makes us back, otherwise we are blocked, and it is rare that it does not inflict damage when it appears from underground, and then head. And it is unthinkable of the tank like Deerclops for example.

Imo he is strong exactly for the reasons u mentioned

He has multiple attacks with multiple body parts that have their own animations and dmg

His freezing ray is strong... much larger in range than Deerclops and much difficult to dodge

And cannot be tanked... cuz requires kitting skills...

Now some of my own.

U cannot hit him in all body sections but in a certain weak spot

U cannot put him to sleep with panflute like other bosses... haven't tried freezing him... but i bet u cannot either

Unless you are using coffee, u really have to pay attention to his movement speed, his tail, his head and when he starts to use his ray

IMO the fact that we already know how to kite him doesn't take away from the difficulty... specially if you don't cheese it with coffee or playing as overcharged WX

Btw I'm not asking for a nerf or complaining on difficulty... I love the way this boss works... just stating why I think he is in the strong category imo.

He reminds me of the DST bosses.

It's not your usual hit and kite kinda boss, instead he has stages (one where he simply tries to hit you, and later on tries to freeze you).

If you want to tank him, you definitely have some preparation to do. (crap ton of armour, high damage) If you kite him, you need to learn how his attacks work, and either prepare enough coffee to be able to comfortably kite him and his freezing ray, or try to kite around the fountain instead (which forces you to take some damage at some points. in any case, you still need to prepare enough armour for that).

I love him. There's quite a few ways of taking care of him (Coconade if you get lucky, kite around map with coffee, tank him with lots of heavy armour, or simply kite around the fountain.) whilst not being too overwhelming.

Ah, and don't forget about the loot! Gives you access to the snake soup (which is freaking great), gives you a rather powerful tool (though it is a little short lived), and also gives you some ingredients that you might need for other items, such as bones. Finally, the water from the fountain itself!

He's a great boss. Need more like him.

In the unlikely event that there isn't a grass patch near the Fountain of Youth, the Pugalisk is one of the most petrifying, gimmicky bosses I've beheld in Don't Starve apart from the Dragonfly and the Fuelweaver. Heavy damage, has a unique mechanic in order to be damaged, has crowd control... what a boss indeed. If it were immune to fire, that would take the cake for me.
