Lilalaunekuh
So the next update is close and to really get a feel for the new changes it´s time to start a new colony on a fresh (=unknown to me) seed. With the new goto sculptures beeing made of refined metals I thought about how much gold a base for ~24-48 dupes would need So here a bit how I will approach the game: The preview branch with debug code runs so smooth, that I am thinking about going for more dupes. Ravaging hunger, miserable, fatalistic will be my settings, so some seeds could be "inconvenient" for someone playing with the mindset of keeping all dupes alive. => Searching for the "best" gold volcano. My criteria in descending priority: 1.Close to perfect average gold emission 2. ... 3. Low dormancy periode 4. Long erruption periode 5. Location (Close to the printing pod or other striking spots preferred) (3./4. = more continuous gold emission) So if you got a seed with a superior gold volcano please contribute
yatima2975
How about https://toolsnotincluded.net/seeds/333983290/298560 ? 1.6 kg/s gold from four gold volcanos and 5.5 kg/s of water. But from the looks of it, you'll die of heat, so maybe https://toolsnotincluded.net/seeds/1787474900/298560 is better: a little less gold at 1.1kg/s from 3 volcanos but it has 9kg/s of water coming from, among others, a cool slush and 2 pWater geysers. [ I doubt whether you're going to get responses other than seeds from that website, so I'm not completely sure why you posted this ]

chemie
how about just edit it to what you want (basically the same as seed selection) https://robophred.github.io/oni-duplicity/
Craigjw
I wonder, with 4 gold volcano's, do you build your entire base out of gold tiles? it is a shame that metal tiles don't have colour tints on them to reflect what base metal that they are made from. Joshsny
1810612221 has a gold volcano directly to the right of the printing pod, along with a cool steam vent directly to the left. Also, the gold volcano's stats are: 8.7Kg/s at 2626.9C , eruption period of 52s/731s, and active 67.1c/110.7c
cpy
Why do you need so much gold?

I do that with one gold volcano. It takes a bit of time but it spits out 217kg/cycle on average when dormancy is accounted for, so sure it takes a while to get all tiles replaced but it'll get there in the end.
