Electrolyzer hydrogen generation

I haven't even broken into the surface yet

I'll admit I have had to crush some igneous rock into sand to keep up with my deodorizers

But this just reminds me that I need to finally store all my sand in some inacessible area, to allow regolith only to be used as only filtration medium.

go ahead and use up your sand, the only thing sand is good for is making glass which you won't need much of

when the time comes just keep a rock crusher near your glass forge

That's true, but I just want to prioritize using regolith over sand. There is so much regolith on the surface and I want to find some usage for it. I know it is quite hot but it can also be advantage. I'm yet to send a rocket into space and the first one probably will be steam powered. Regolith will come in good use for steam production.

I would say more then probably lol

and if you are planing to use regolith's heat to boil water I'll tell you now there is no effective way to do that, many players have tried

you are better off using an aquatuner

Not sure what you mean by effective, but my first few (and only) steam rockets were powered by steam produced from regolith.  I just built several compactors and filled them with regolith.  Built a room around them with water piped in, emptied the compactors and pumped in a little water until I had steam.

Using an aquatuner is certainly more sustainable, but it doesn't matter much as you only need to launch the steam rocket 2 or 3 times.

Exactly - 100t of hot regolith should be enough to produce 6t of steam from my 30C polluted water. This will be enough for first 6 rocket launches. Then I will either switch to other rocket engines or use aquatuners to support steam production.

No.

This comes from the fact that no matter the length of run time in any one session, the missing mass was always exactly the same, and corresponding to exactly 1kg of water going missing.

Hey @Saturnus I tried reproducing this experiment today, I wasn't able to reproduce the deletion, I did notice however that the electrolyzer usually had 1 kg of water left in it's internal storage at the end.  Just wondering if the internal storage used to be hidden, or if perhaps this bug might have been fixed.

I believe it was. I'm pretty sure I would have noticed it if you could see the content of the internal storage back then. Or somebody else would have noticed it. Bear in mind, this is one of the most popular electrolyser set ups with hundreds of players using it.

Yeah that's what I figured.
