so a new forge mod came out

People can use the mod to get better or to play it when Forge isn't active or when they just dont feel like playing on a klei server.

Klei can add anything they want, things that are similar to the ones in the mod because they own the game.

People would play the official Forge to get a higher lvl and to get skins and stuff.

When it's basic stuff, it's not a problem if a mod is already doing this. But it's not that easy to add things that already exist in a mod if it comes to specific stuff. It's not because they can do it that it will be a good choice.

Also the mod has two variations : original ( new stuff coming ) and modder's take ( Hallowed Forge )

Glad you guys like the mod! As for the criticism, our goal is mainly to allow Forge to played anytime, anywhere, have more convenient options, such as a force-start for people who just won't ready up, and a kick button. And also be moddable, as seen with Playable Pets and the 6+ player slots. After the returning event ends, our plans are gonna be to port its content over to our mod so after it's gone, the mod will still be around to mess around with.

We're also gonna be showing off just how much our mod can be modified via Hallowed Forge; a Halloween themed Forge with new mobs, waves, arena, weapons, armors, buffs, debuffs, perks, achievements, music, etc. It'll feel like an all new Forge!
And yes, we're doing Gorge, too. Heck, that'll probably be out before Hallowed Forge. We're gonna wait till after the new event before starting on the latter.

also something I heard from a dev of forged forge is that they did get permission to do this mod, but ONLY if they coded it from the ground up. so don't worry about klei taking down the mod, chris and everyone else worked real hard on it!

Yeah, it's fine. The code is done from scratch, the only thing that is Klei's is the assets. (Couldn't use Klei's code if we wanted, it's all locked behind their servers.)
