Eggs should always be "wild"

I was trying to make a wild pacu pond, but came to a problem : all my fishes are "tamed" ! O_o

 

After some observation, I see that tamed pacus give egg with 0% of wilderness.

So I go pick a "wild" egg, to put into my pond, via a compactor, and ... it instantly got his wilderness to 0% !! O_o

 

Eggs should always have 100% of wilderness, even when laid by a tamed pacu. So it's only the feeding (and breeding for other critters) that gave the "tamed" attribute. And maybe also that of living with a tamed critter of same species. ;)

Unfeeded tamed pacus dies of age before dying of starvation, because the -80% metabolism malus also decrease the speed at which theyr body consumes calories. So ... it's not a real exploit. :p There're programmed this way. :D

That's partialy wrong.

In real life, we produced tamed creature because the parents of the animals are tamed, and also because the babies are accosutmed to this way of life from the beginning. ;) 

 

And since the ONI criters produce less than tamed ones, it should always be a possibility to just keep them wild, even when relocalized ;) 

I think @Gwido has the right idea, but the wrong implementation.

There should be a way to release tamed animals back into the wild, either by abandoning tamed critters eggs in an environment outside a stable, or by a simple method of having 0% wild critters only hatch from eggs inside a stable or incubator.

A workaround with the current build (Rocketry Upgrade) is to incubate 100% wild critters eggs inside an incubator and relocate the hatched wild critters back to nature. Since 100% wild critters only lay a single egg before dying, you can accelerate the natural process with incubation, and scoop a few extra wild critters for taming, while maintaining the wild population.

Also partially wrong.

In real life we produced tamed creatures by selectively breeding from the tamest (be it on purpose or because those are the most likely to let us), with those traits being passed on to the young. Just like ONI's wild %.

I feel freshly hatched critters should be wild, but should domesticate faster than adults.

Isn't one of the main purposes of these animals to eat as much as possible?

Do we really selectively breed the animals for their tameness?  I never had to kill a hatch for lashing out against a rancher to reduce aggressive traits in the gene pool.  If they did that sometimes and killing them reduced that trait in the population, then I would accept this argument.  But the creatures you can domesticate are just like the creatures in the wild.  They aren't bred for anything but subspecies.  And the subspecies can be wild.

Now, the balance of the wild animals should probably be adjusted to accommodate this, but I believe it makes more sense this way.  I think it would be just fine if the baby modifier just added a multiplier to the taming process and all eggs hatched wild critters.  (Fish may be unbalanced though)
