What people are doing in this game that they need so much power?

Massive amounts of aquatuners. Filling the top of the map with bunker doors. Arcade for 30+ dupes. Feels like we could use more power sinks though. Especially if we get a nuclear reactor down the line.

Also the space cows need to produce something more than just NG. Like come on where`s the milk? Give us space milk.

The roadmap is finished. Maybe DLC.

You act like it`s the end of updates. The game isn`t finished yet. The roadmap was just to show us the next planned features not to say we do this and nothing more. I`m pretty sure we will get more stuff. There`s still many unfinished things.

Where I can see the roadmap?

It's pinned at the top of this forum. It includes this sentence:

In the final phases of the game, we expect the tech tree to be much deeper than it is now, extending to what we would call “space tech”.

This update could be considered "space tech" but it's possible this term means something else to Klei.

Yes it`s the final phase of the game. I don`t expect them to do something later tech than rockets. But it doesn`t mean it`s the final phase of development. The tech tree just got almost twice as deep but only one branch extends that far. Probably other branches will extend much more before the game is done.

There is still so much unfinished stuff like jobs that just give stats and no new effects. There is still so much potential in the systems that exist. I can`t believe that`s the end of development. There is still so much that can be done.

Getting back on topic to the gassy moo: How do you get it from the space ship to your ranch? Poor thing is sitting the the rocket after three days, despite my putting the critter drop off to 9. And if I empty the bio cargo, it escapes and floats around my launch bay out of reach. And even if I could reach it, it says it cannot be wrangled (despite its description saying it can!).

HELP!

Its to replace The oilboiler that they made redundant.

Instead of planning a complex mechanism you bring space cows that eat chlorine. And fart methane that you burn for co2/slickstermeat.

Its a dead end design as chlorine is non renewable mostly.

If you get to the point where you can launch rocket to get moos, your also at the point where you can build solar planes that solve all your power needs for the rest of the game.

The entire gassy moo mechanics and features are practically worthless besides providing additional challenge for the bored end-game player.

and on top of that, if you don't have chlorine geyser in your seed, then you can't sustain a gassy moo farm at all.

I feel like the Gassy Moo is still unfinished. Being just a chlorine to nat gas transfer machine is underwhelming for the amount of effort setting it up requires. It should produce something more. I hope it`ll get something next upgrade.

Transporting heat, running transport tube, refining materials etc.
Once you get to the endgame with solar and a battery array, fossil fuel is mostly redundant as a power source.
Truth be told the frame drop with having gassy moos isn't worth it for me.
I managed to overload a 20kW wire by running a standard endgame based with entire bunker door coverage/solar panels and running three aquatuners simultaneously.
