What i learned, is Thimble Reed is so useless that after craft 3 set of clothing for your dupes, the are no reason to farm it anymore. So i suggest the Clothing Upgrade.

  1. Cloth Tier.
    New clothing has 3 tiers, Normal Cloth, Working Cloth and Specialist Cloth.
  2. Cloth new Effect.
    Normal cloth is current clothing system, 3 type of clothes. They has durability of 100 days (while wearing).
    Working cloth are cloth increase and help train different type of stats. They has durability of 15 days.
    -Worker cloth + 2  to Construction and Digging,  and +10% exp on those stats.
    -Gymnastic cloth +2 to  Athletics and Strength, and + 10% exp
    -Engineer cloth + 2 to  Tinkering and Learning, and +10% exp
    -Farmer cloth + 2 to Farming and Ranching, + 10% exp
    -Doctor cloth + 4 to Kindness, + 20% exp
    -Creative cloth + 2  to Cooking and Creativity, + 10% exp
    Specialist clothes are clothes use in different time, work, and give some special effect to duplicants. They has durability of 5 days.
    -Swimming cloth, Allow dups to swim on top of liquid, wont get any debuff if the liquid is clean water.
    -Pijama, when sleeping  regenerate health and decrease stress.
    -Mountain Climb Set, Allow dups to climb up to 4 tiers.
    -FrontpackWear, Double dups carry weight, also hide material so it wont decrease nearby decor.
  3. Cloth Durability.
    After reaching it end, all cloth turn to rags, decrease nearby decor by -30. Rags can be turned in to coal by (rock crusher? kirin?) you have to change dups cloth continuously if you want them to happy
  4. Cloth Quality.
    Cloth now has quality of dup's Creativity and maybe the Thimble quality, the higher the quality, the higher bonus it give.
  5. Locker Checkpoint.
    Duplicants now have to wear choosen cloth when pass by. So clothes can finally be useful for once.

That`s one way to make it more interesting. Currently they serve a protective function that is clunky and redundandt due to exosuits. Only the extra decor matters.

I was thinking about a divers suit that would make dupes immune to the soggy feet and soping wet debuffs and a kevlar vest that would reduce incomming damage (more useful if e get actual agressive creatures).

Would be decent as long as there's an option to set clothing so you can have sweaters in one direction and suits in the other.

I like more options.
