Radiation - Will this be one of the possible hazard?

Hello to great developers and players!

Is adding radiation hazard possible when we have radioactive biome (generally common rocks with radium veins, a radioactive consumable ore, plus some algae insulating radiation) and nuclear generator?

P.s. Radioactive biome is my idea, don’t confused with developer’s plans.

I expect we will get radioactivity, nuclear reactors and, eventually, building a space-ship with a nuclear drive as goal of the game. Somehow like Factorio, but also pretty obvious. Radiation sickness could be pretty much done similar to the germ-system, but I would like affected dupes to be visibly glowing, best in blue, i.e. Cherenkov-radiation, so we know it is serious ;-).

Hoping for the atomic age stuff too. I hear a lot that players are talking of an end of the game - I like endless challenges on this game title, so it would be nice if  reaching the end can be deactivated in the game options.

I would like that too. Or we do not get a time-limit and can simply chose not to fly away. (I really, really hate time-limits....)

Devs, if you are reading this thread please make this happen if you make an animated short introducing nuclear power.

The major advantage of a reactor is that the steam turbine will actually be useful given the mass amount of heat reactors can emit.

The steam turbine doesn't run consistently without a whole lot of complicated work with a volcano, so this would be the most obvious solution to maximize its power production by creating a great deal of superheated steam on any map.

That's what I will be looking forward to when/if atomic research becomes a thing.

It would be very nice to build, operate and maintain complex machinery which has the outlook to reap a big benefit, if mastered by the player, with an outlook of an catastrophe if the player has not thought it through or has saved resources on safety, backup and logic. Consisting of several parts and a detail supply chain, so we can work on something for a duration of over 100 cycles in the endgame.
