Slvrsrfr
To create a 'water' seal with different fluids? Has this been talked about? I just happened to notice an unintentional pwater seal, and ended up talking to guy on twitch about it. And how he wants to keep the water from freezing in a cold biome...Is that a probable, non-speculative thing to do in this game? And would it have any practical uses? Slvrsrfr
does the petroleum act different? More viscous? Can it be made it with liquid variants of the gases? would crude oil work? he77789
all liquids work as long as it stays liquid and don't melt/freeze the environment. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/93749-would-it-be-a-thing/#findComment-1066310 Share on other sites

Using PH2O is bad idea also, since it need not high temperature to become PO2. Soulwind
This. Ph2o works fine, all liquids do, but ph2o will offgas and lose mass, possibly breaking the seal. heckubis
the ice biome is cold because of the stuff in it not because its an ice biome. filling it with water will not freeze the water unless your using stuff to keep the biome cold like wheezewarts and such Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/93749-would-it-be-a-thing/#findComment-1066470 Share on other sites
Argelle
@heckubis is the opposite true (and tested)? remove all tiles of a hot biome get it cool(er)? (a little) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/93749-would-it-be-a-thing/#findComment-1066475 Share on other sites
heckubis
yah the biomes are not heat productive its just the stuff in them. after all the materials are removed its just a background color Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/93749-would-it-be-a-thing/#findComment-1066477 Share on other sites

Using PH2O doesn't satisfy my rule: 9 hours ago, he77789 said: it stays liquid The offgassing makes pH2O "boil" into PO2 effectively so no need to mention.
