Craigjw
My glossy drecko is glum and I've no idea why. It has been groomed, sheared and is in a stable full of meal lice and Hydrogen/Oxygen. any ideas please? Irony, I move the view to do something else and now she's happy. Neotuck
Sounds like a bug, report it if it happens again Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/93730-glossy-drecko-is-glum/#findComment-1066091 Share on other sites
Craigjw
I think it was just slow to update after she was groomed. I'll keep my eye open if it happens again. blash365
Judging by the screenshot, the drecko has not been groomed yet. Otherwise it would have the "groomed" status effect. So either the grooming didnt register (which might be a bug), or you lost track of your drecko.;) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/93730-glossy-drecko-is-glum/#findComment-1066186 Share on other sites

Why do you think this Drecko was groomed? There are no "Groomed" in its status Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/93730-glossy-drecko-is-glum/#findComment-1066579 Share on other sites
martosss
Drecko doesn't care about Oxygen Drecko doesn't care about Hydrogen Drecko is perfectly happy with Bristle Blossoms as well BTW in the ONI Biology thread they say that temperature can change some stuff, but I couldn't see any difference in happiness regarding Dreckos(tried keeping them anywhere between 5-25° body temperature) Also, I'd say Dreckos don't like being sheared, as they look very miserable without their fluffy coat(shearing also doesn't change happiness though, so that's just a personal belief). KittenIsAGeek
A tamed critter will become glum almost immediately after the 'groomed' buff wears off. Craigjw
The Drecko was certainly groomed, as I watched my pimp attended to her at the grooming station. Just to clarify, it had already been sheared also, which is why I wondered why it was still glum. I'm going to put this down to a status update on the creature taking it's time. I doubt that the game updates everything in every frame. Don't starve, for example, has it's updates split off into cycles, this saves cpu performance. I would expect that the devs have done similar in ONI too. Drecko's like to be sheared in my ranch, as it's a little toasty in there, it also helps me groom them for when I pimp them off.
