Special graphic effects for extreme temperature

Recommended Posts

Some materials (molten stuff) have a "Light emitter" flag, which seems to be unimplemented.

Though it "makes sense" that stuff doesn't shine in ONI - there is no radiant heat (infrared), so it could be just that hot stuff doesn't emit electromagnetic radiation at all.

Spoiler

Until Radiant Update changes that.

Are you being facetious about that or is this a confirmed planned thing ?

(I mean it'd make sense, it seems to be a dirrection where things are headed and now thte we got spaaace and ligh is a bit mre developed than jsu  abinary on/off and I hope it happens but if the devs have said anyhing about it, I missed it.

No idea what we can do to show cold though.

Some patches of frost and small icicles appearing on the objects maybe ?

A bit cliche I now but fits with the sligtly cartoony theme of the game and esy for mos people to interpret. at sngle glance, which is good.

It could be, it is not facetious though, A lot of gasses are marked as "Causes Burns", "Flammable" and "Light Emitter". For instance when lava becomes a gas it is meant to emit light, but when you actually make the gas it says "Pitch Black 0 Lux"

So a chemistry update might be around the corner, or something similar
