So I wanted to know if it'd be possible to separate the two. :D  Yes it is! You can also remove the tempshift plate too.

The Woflramite battery was not needed but I wanted to try and see what the differences were. With Wolframite the temperature jumps from 74.7 to 74.8 Celsius and with Copper it jumps from 74.9 to 75.0 Celsius. That's with this build of course.

In this system, the heat is deleted by battery reset the temperature of hot hydrogen. So it's important to reduce the heat transfer between hot hydrogen and the battery, because this part of heat is not deleted, but go into battery→crude oil→polluted water→aquatuner→hydrogen and wait to be deleted in the next time.

i tough i had understand your system, but no...

not at all.

What do you mean by "battery reset the temperature", is it the bug you mentionned?

  1. Easy to build. Copper is easy to be acquired.

I just tried your save, and 10kg of gaz, you cant make it so easily in game...

you need the high press vent, and for it you need plastic, so you need petrol, and exosuit, etc xD

But well done, you can make a bug report now.

I like how you use radiant pipe. It is obviously more creative and cut down heat transfer better than mine

Yes. No mater how hot the tile of hydrogen is, it will be reset to 75C by battery immediately.

So you could do it with a small battery?  I'm sure it would be very happy to be used.

Of course

Still new to a lot of the cool solutions for problems in this game, but I was wondering if you could get rid of the pump after the liquid started flowing or does the tuner require a pump at all times? For clarification, if the tuner output has momentum, would you be able to build a  bridge while there was flow in order to bypass the pump?

No hydrogen? No problem! :D

wow...

so i think now this system dont work very nice...

I tried to delete some hydrogene in my test, the water cooler get to 180°.... with still the reset but with really higher value, so getting damage one or two time on three...

And i tried to look at the way you use the valve and automation, it's not efficient at all, and he can block itself( i just try to look at 1x speed, and xD)...i never reach cycle 8 x) because each time, once the temp in pipe is lower than -5, the system stop..

the only use of this, is for a bug report.

I dont know how dev are playing this game, but i think, it's not anymore my kind of game...

you need drecko and mealwood. plastic is very easy to get in early game now

EASY MY FRIEND

Drecko, so you need to leave your base for getting those drecko's, and crossfinger for getting glossy who will give you 140kg of plastic everytime you will shave it, but you need to give him hydrogen for glossy, with lower atmo without hydrogen, all this in one stable, with the waste of all this food, that you should probably need for your dupe...all this little farm need power, need work, etc...

another easy player debuger...

i will get better for doing what dev wanted me to do...

The game hurt me, not you...

i think they have add the ranching for getting some ressource easily, but anything is depending on power, and ressource, and in most of the case, glitch too...

just look at most of the generator, they alway need power for working. Hydrogen gen need a pump at 240w, a gaz filter at 120w, or ineficient shutoff at 30w, when he generate for 600w...while automated door can still work without power...(at least, automation shouldnt work, but it is)

battery are just like something you want to avoid the more you can, because of the heat, the waste of energy, the cost in ressource, etc

the only one is the coal gen who dont need anything else than coal and dupe work, if you dont care about how your dupe work, it will lack of ressource so many time

the way you are using your ressource is a little strange, in my opinion. Because getting enough drecko for getting what you need will overextend all of your needs..

Drecko's without glitch, is harder than you seem to say, but even if it's not, the aim is to manage your ressource for surviving the longer you can.

You should be able to use the environemnent at your advantage, but in most case, the only thing you make, is follow the rules...and even if you do, you need glitch...

This system for cooling was what i was looking for, it make some sense, but what is not making  sense, is the fact it's working only because of a glitch, and not because of the cooling system...and if we want to speak about the logic, explain me how a battery can work while it's submerged by naphta or petrol... XD

This glitch, is for me the best way to show how the game is just full of fireworks. It' looks like a deep game with full of interesting things, but in fact, lot of thing work at the oposite way of how they should work...

You can look at this door too, who can work without power, and accept automation when they shouldn't...or the shuttoff, that you cant really use because of the pipe system...

Or the water sieve who can output fixing temp....AND IT'S INTENDED BY DEV xD

So yes, i just want to know now, how dev are playing this game...and what they wanted from it...

Maybe they will made an explosion update that will fix some of this kind of stupid situation, but if they do, the game will only punish you each time you get out of the way they have choose...and even if you follow the way, you will lack of resource, because they cant be unlimited...

So the only thing you have to do, is to use geyser with the good setup, for getting your nat gaz, and being able to power your cooling system depending on glitch, for cooling your base, and your electrolyser, etc... oh wait, yes, now we have ranching...we can get plastic from stupid creature we need to farm with glitchy setup for getting what we want like we want... and again, you cant ranch your drecko without the ranching job, or you need to be lucky and get them near your base at the beginning...(xD again, because, in fact, your dupe can go in this hot area without big trouble, even with the full cholrine and hydrogen atmosphere(they should die dude), but if they walk in a little pixel of water, they will get high stress due to the cold feet things)

We have a water cooler, overheating each time we dont use it in the good way, but, he can cool down petrol or water in the same way, with a fixed temp, but overheat in the same way.... while the reffinery output different temp depending on the material you want to reffine and liquid you are using... this things need 1.2kw of power... it's just amazing how much ressource he need for cooling...

And after this, you can try to pump polluted water or petroleum with the metal reffinery, the petrol will heat faster than polluted water, so why it's so different with the thing who is intended to do this...why water cooler can cool at the same rate water or petrol ??? that made no sense at all, but yes, it's easy to understand, it's just a game...

And again, it's just ashame that the system the author of the thread show, is based only on a glitch, and not on something logic, because when we look at this, it's seem's to be quite logic... i was looking for doing this, and he make it ! i was tottaly impress by his work, and when i saw how it work, i just feel sad....

i dunno if i'm clear with what i'm saying, but i dont play a game for searching glitch (in a beta scenario, i can understand, but if dev say that it's intended to get this kind of things, we are not anymore in beta scenario) or how to abuse the system...

But i agree they have success for doing the best punishing system ever...you cant play without glitch, or it's the bigger challenge....

Once there's water in the pipes you don't need the pump anymore but in a real game you wouldn't really take the pump out. It already bypasses the aquatuner with automation if that was your question. That version did run into hiccups so I've revised a different version.

Just wanted to verify I understood this correctly... Heat is deleted as the upper water temperature is reset to 75c cause of the battery, and the battery itself does not get to 75c cause of the radiant pipe section placement?

yes

2 minutes ago, R9MX4 said:

yes

If so, aren't the tempshift plates behind the battery detrimental to the process, as you'd want the upper water layer to get as hot as possible? Seems better to have just the 1 tempshift plate behind the radiant pipe section

At first, I add the tempshift plate to accelerate heat transfer between hydrogen surrounding aquatuner and hydrogen surrounding battery. Without this plate, even when the hydrogen surrounding battery is 75C, my aquatuner is still hotter than 200C which causes overheat.

If you can prevent overheat without the plate, I think you can delete the plate. I haven't try it.
