Who is able to use the Farm Station?

Liceloaf 50 water per 1700 makes 0.03 water per calorie. Berry 120 water per 2000 calories makes 0.06. So it means you need to use more water for berries than liceloaf. @Izzy248  berries are not more water efficient than liceloaf.

Assuming that the farmer's touch   buff (double growth) is present 100% of the time (wchich is doubtful) the water efficiency is approximately the same as the liceloaf, but it will never be better

The issue with liceloaf is the dirt cost, not the water cost.  Dirt is not easy to make.  You start with a lot, but it isn't easily renewable and you will eventually run out.  Surprisingly fast, actually.  Berries just use water, which comes in to the world over time via steam geysers, nat gas generators, and petroleum generators.  Maybe I'm missing one or two, but those are the main ones.

Um what?

No, we do not tackle what's the issue with liceloaf. It was never mentioned. Yiur post that I referred to was about water efficiency. Please don't change subject for no reason.

And you write now about other things just for the sake of writing... This is just a weird segway.... It's like I would say '2 plus  2 is 4' and you were like 'yeah, but 2 + 3 is 5, so stfu'.... I mean both are true but are completely unrelated. Just admit that you were wrong about water efficiency instead of posting some pseudo arguments gosh

That happens when your farmer has "supply" disabled in the job activities.

Exactly. It's bad idea. It should all be included in "farming". They need to change that asap so we don't have to make sure that the job we assigned does not require other job to be active. Like when I assign tidy I expect this dupe to tidy, and I shouldn't had to assign supply or operate in order for superior to carry items and out them into containers or something like that

I can easily admit I'm wrong.  I missed the word "water" when you said "water efficient" and thought you just said "efficient."  In that context, I think my post makes more sense.  I'm not trying to be rude, and I didn't think my post could be read as a "stfu".  Some people may not have noticed that mealwood takes dirt yet, and I feel it is important to inform them of the change, as that change is significant.

hm, interesting, though I have supply enabled for all duplicants.

It can also happen if the priority on the farm station is higher than on the crops.  Would it be possible to see a screenshot of the priorities?

Nice overreaction.

Anyhow, yeah I was totally wrong earlier. It seems that the reason that I couldn't get them to apply except after that one first time is because I took supply off of my farmer's job list because they stopped farming and went about supplying. That is something that ONI needs to work on IMO. Farm tasks should be under farming, and not require you having to divert your farmer (or micromanage them constantly) away from that just to do their job. That's one of the few quirks of the new system that I think (hope) they will sort out in a hotfix.

I did say farmer/greenhouse so berries are 60kg but I used 1200 CAL by mistake (lice vs loaf) so thanks.  Same wster usage....for 2 better quality.  My point was more berries are 8x less water now which is huge and I think better than lice once you have seeds and farmer trained.

Also Your farmer needs to have the crop tending trait.

This is attached to the actual job "Farmer", which is the T2 farming job.  Which is required as either a current Job assignment or a past Job mastery.
