Papersneaker
Hi! After struggling with my colony for over 700 hundred cycles I think I have found the biggest impediment to my forward process. My duplicants Lemming Loop and I have a hard time seeing it in the game as a colony grows I identify Lemming Looping as a duplicant going to complete a task and being unable to do so for breath reasons after they catch their breath they go back and fail to complete it over and over again. In the example I am talking about duplicants “my entire supply team” were trying to retrieve a suppply item from a deep carbon well. They either didn’t make it or would grab them item then run out of breath and drop it right back to the bottom of the carbon well. I was busy trying to redesign a vital colony system and they were running over and over again to the bottom of the well stressing themselves out for no good reason. I think duplicants should refuse to do the job for a while if it results in a Lemming Loop. They can go back in a cycle or 3...conditions are always changing. Any other advice for noticing this sooner? Technoincubus
I reporteв it in bug secition. So far only Red Aler can solve it Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/87199-any-advice-for-detecting-the-lemming-loop/#findComment-1000403 Share on other sites
zzKratoszz
Supply your dupes with more oxygen. I snake oxygen pipes alone with my miners every so often and it removes most problems I have with dupes being silly. donutman07
Noticing it can be difficult. I once filled a fridge with medicine and had it submerged in only 4 tiles of CO2. It was just enough though that the dupes had to climb down into the CO2 to pick up the medicine. Because they wanted to pick it all up at once but could only grab one at a time they would manage to pick up maybe 13 before having to abandon the task. Then some other dupe would attempt and fail and so on. TheScaryOne
My base is usually overpressured and by the time I'm doing serious out of base exploring I've likely flooded my mining tunnels with excess O2 to keep the electrolyzer flowing. PhailRaptor
One thing you can do to prevent this from happening is to "break" your Ladder column(s) at your storage level. Put an Airflow or Mesh tile on that floor, and have your Ladder terminate at that block. Continue your Ladder to either side of the tile, and merge it below to continue to anything else in your base below. Then, at the "bottom" of your habitable zone, intentionally reposition any deeper Ladders away from the internal Ladder columns, with a contiguous row of Airflow or Mesh tiles going all the way across. In this way, anything your Dupes drop while moving on Ladders will always be dropped at your Storage level, instead of going all the way down to the bottom of your CO2 pit.
