habuky
I observed that my dupes are constantly bringing polluted water to the bottle emptier. But since very very long It did not assign any mob-task. Thus I wonder where the polluted water is coming from. One possibility could be the metal refinery just above (running permanently). As there is always a bottle of polluted water visible, However the plumbing for dirt water is correct: there is a pipe leading down to the pool below. The refinery is very hot. Pipes and itself build out of Abyssalite. Any ideas?
TheOlz
Have you made sure you don't have auto bottling turned on on the bottle emptiers?
Neotix
Metal refinery is little bugged and drop some of the coolant on the ground in bottles.
Kabrute
Also no hand washing stations?
habuky
- No auto bottling and no pumps in polluted water - no washing stations but the electricity is turned off automatically once enough iron is refined (pressure plate). maybe that's the reason for the coolant in bottles... Coolthulhu
Refinery doesn't exactly drop bottles on the ground, it's just that dupes see the coolant in it as accessible. This means that if your refinery doesn't manage to empty out fast enough, dupes will treat liquids in its output as if they were bottles.
habuky
really? that's fun! I too, I would love to bring boiling hot dirty water by hand to the dirty water pool! Why using a pipe if you can do I yourself?
Kroning
Interesting. Mine refinery produces clean hot water, not polluted.

It outputs whichever liquid you pump into it. If you pump clean water into it you'll get hot clean water and if you pump polluted water into it you'll get hot polluted water.
