Now we have created 280 gunpowder (very tedious project) in order to kill it. Is it possible to place all 280 gunpowder at once and light it? How have you done when/if you killed it with gunpowder? If I remember correctly, Toadstool has the ability to push stuff on the ground, so that gunpowder couldn't be used against him. I could be wrong, but to be sure, experiment with a few gunpowders first if you can damage it (not whole stacks, just single gunpowders). On a second note, if Toadstool didn't have this ability or you want to fight another giant, these gain gunpowder-resistance after getting the damage of a full stack. it weares off after 10 seconds (not 100% sure in the time, personally never checked it, just read on the forums), after which you cna proceed with another stack. If you explode more stacks at once, only the first will damage the giant, the next ones not, or will deal a much less damage. I hope I could help. zzKratoszz Posted October 25, 2017 Share Posted October 25, 2017 If you are quick you can use gunpowder on the toadstool awhile its sleeping or some other stun mechanic. But be careful. Gunpowder has a really small hitbox. You need to place the gunpowder right up next to him. Also make sure to use a small break between stacks like everyone else has said. The gunpowder resistance has a wait time of 8 and a delay of 2 which I assume are seconds. So make sure and wait at least 10 seconds between stacks. What this one said with the adage you can freeze Toad via Ice Staff and/or put it to sleep with Pan Flute or Sleepy Time Stories. While temporary incapacitated like that you put Gunpowder as close you can and light it via Fire Staff (best). Good luck! Pro strats: Jelly Beans (optional), Thulecite armor & crowns (which you farmed thulecite for), some dank swords, star caller staves for light, about 7 weather pains (might be less) and a walking cane. When the Toad spawns the boomshrooms, you've got a 4 second window before they explode, typically there's a gap in between some so find it and move there to continue swinging. When it places a spore bomb on you, equip the walking cane and run away far enough before it explodes and then run back. (you have about 8 seconds to do so) After that Toad should start summoning trees and then you step back, equip the weather pains, and use them on the mush trees. Then toad will attempt to spore you immediately afterwards. Then it's lather rinse repeat. With the third phase toad will kick off with two aoe jumps each attack cycle, then continue the normal attacks. In the fourth phase toad will kick off with two aoe jumps and then spore bomb you each attack cycle, then continue the normal attack, with the exception that toad will try to spore you more and spawn more trees more often, which means a shorter attack cycle. It's long, it's tedious, but tbh, it's the easiest method out there. Mencken Posted October 28, 2017 Share Posted October 28, 2017 I've killed Toadstool solo a number of times and can't bother with long fights either. So, I use a pan flute and drop just enough gunpowder to weaken him (and not lose all the good loot). Once in a while I mess up but no problem, just play the flute again and place another batch of gp. It was a little tricky the first time as placement is key but practice makes perfect.
