Hello Survivors,

So I wanted to check out how Skins exactly look in art (I dont want to use them in any mods, because I respect Klei) but they are in Dynamic files which I dont know how to open, do you have any ideas? I mostly would want to see any duo set piece (example : Catty Costume) and any Character Skin (example: Guest of Honor Webber)

I don't think there is a known way to open those files... at least, not yet (by the community at least).

I imagine they will open as any .dyn files of the kind. I just know I'm not even touching that. It's pointless and I wish to avoid ambiguity of my intentions if I suggest ways to access these.

Yeah I opened it up pretty quick, and Klei devs stated that they'd rather the contents not to be redistributed.

I took that to also mean the method on how to read it as well.

Skins can be made without that file. Pure client-side implementation seems a bit finicky at the moment, but if you can make it work anyway, I don't see any reason why you couldn't use the same files used for base skins.

What "Base Skins"

Like, the default appearances of the characters.
There're a few example characters out there with SCML projects and png's ready to be edited, some more complete than others. Rip that part out of them, edit it to your liking, you've got a skin. Not Dyn format, but that's just a protective measure.
