SkylordElberich Posted March 26, 2016 Share Posted March 26, 2016 So, I was looking at the Unimplemented/Speculated Characters page on the wiki, and there's quite a few of them, eight at the time of writing. So, seeing as they're probably not going to be in the game (but there's still hope!) I've decided to write their epitaphs. God rest their weary souls. Wilton Expired by starvation in the desert, and picked clean by buzzards. Symbolism: Winged Skull, representing the soul's ascension to heaven. Also, Wilton is a skeleton, and skeletons have skulls. Wortox Sacrificed himself in the ruins when the nightmares came for us. Symbolism: Upside-down pentagram, representing his diabolical nature. Winnie Succumbed to sickness, and died peacefully in her sleep. Symbolism: Dove, symbolises peace and purity. Wallace Died with a clear conscience fighting against a pack of ice hounds. Symbolism: Celtic cross-shaped headstone, symbolises Eternity. Waverly Attempted to cast a fire spell, which backfired spectacularly. Symbolism: Ankh, symbol of eternal life. Also, the Ankh is sometimes used as a pagan symbol. Watricia First mate of the Sea Legs. Fell overboard in a storm, and drowned. Symbolism: Anchor, often on sailors or seafarer's graves. Pyro Died with honour fighting against mechanical fiends. Symbolism: Pyro icon, represents Pyro. So, there we are. The epitaphs on the graves of the unimplemented, and some symbolism to go with them. If more unimplemented characters make themselves known, I'll get out the hammer and chisel. If a character does get implemented, I'll cross out their name. Who knows, maybe Klei will create an expansion with these characters in it. I dunno why, but I like to think all/most or at least some of them will be implemented on DST's Trough the Ages DLC. Because of the name, I mean... "Through the Ages", the updates and hotfixes... the characters that never were, that slipped away from creation... Maybe they'll be "brought back to life"? *shrugs* I dunno, but I really like your epitaphs! They're much more descriptive than just "Milk. Eggs.
