Nick's opinion on the recent topic of clothing.

Recommended Posts

During the last few weeks I've noticed and increase of people worrying about the skin system. I have to say many different points about skins are brought up. Should items be marketable? Should we even be able to trade? In my opinion I feel like people shouldn't care. If eventually items are marketable so be it we have the power to choose not to buy it. If they are not then whatever so be it. I say the clothes are amazing in the sense that I can wear other clothes there nifty and give me more reason to play. I don't care what drop I get. It could be a GOH Wilson or a common T-Shirt. If someone gets a GOH congratulate them! If someone gets a common T shirt then so be it its out of our hands. I don't know why people are fighting over this kind of thing. Lets all put on whatever clothes we have and all play a game we all like! A game that teaches us the cooperation is the only way to survive the cruel world. A game named Don't Starve Together!

I tend to congratulate people on servers no matter the drop they get.

Just because the item has a common rarity doesn't mean it's any less cool than an elegant, like a GOH head.

Lumberjack shirts, although common itens, are in my opinion one of the best skin items to have in DST :p

(They look so nice! Mainly the electrolytic blue and tentacle purple ones! My favorite colors for it. Though if they made a green one I'd love Klei forever.)

I know! I love my purple lumberjack shirt!

JBeetle's opinion is that the clothing system is a great way to introduce a meta into the game, but it won't be extremely effective unless something is introduced to make persistent servers a little more "worth" playing on to begin with.

Wait persistent as in long lasting private with friends or like long lasting with randoms? As it is even in beta there was no point playing with randoms.

Both, really, but more so with randoms. If I'm going to play with friends, I don't want to join on day 400.

Yeah, but we're talking about skins here! Skins!

They are my precious! *insert gollum here*

srsly though, I feel like recently I've seen more people asking about how they get skins than about how to play the game. Even when they just got the game 2 hours ago -_-

My problem is DST players attacking other DST players (With words) just because they enjoy or do not enjoy collecting skins.
