Some ideas for new Biomes in the Ocean

As it stands the Ocean in SW is pretty barren and empty lacking a lot of interesting biomes (not counting Coral Reefs) so i was thinking about some new Biomes for the Ocean itself to have some more variation while rowing around.

 

The Ship Graveyard

A Biome similar to the Graveyards in DS where you can find multiple crushed shipparts floating around as well as seeing wrecks that crushed against stones in the water. You can search/smash (haven't decided yet) the wreckage for different ressources including Gold,Trinkets,Dubloons and other items for your trouble. Obviously just like in regular DS you also recieve a sanity penalty each time you rummage through a wrecked ship because you might see something unsetteling in there.

 

Reefs

So as it stands we only got Coralreefs but i though maybe we could also find regular ones in the sea. These Reefs consist of a lot of sharp stones that may or may not damage your boat while driving next to them. While traversing the area your boatdurability drops a bit faster then normal. YOu can also mine the rocks for different Mineralitems like Gold,Stone Flint etc. mostly to increase the quantity of entities that can be harvested for these items (but maybe there could also be something else in the Reefbiome)

 

Icebergs

These can be found on the edge of the map in very low quantities. You can harvest them or maybe discover items or enemys frozen in the ice or maybe sometimes both. The idea is that you can get rare items from them like Gems or other stuff for the threat of fighitng enemys frozen in the Ice (maybe even some enemys that resemble prehistoric monsters forzen solid over the years). Icebergs would also regenerate at a yearly rate showing up on random spots on the edge of the map.

 

Sunken City

This biome would basicly represent a flooded city where you can row through the different types of architecture collecting a fair share of rare items (can't think of stuff atm). This could maybe be the equivalent of the Marblebiomes in the DS/RoG worlds so you might encounter more clockwork enemys near Sunken Citys.

 

Mostly just random ideas but as i said it would be nice to have some more variation while sailing the sea because it's to empty atm.

I like the idea of an artic biome. With year round pengull and ice hounds, and maybe even MacTusk is on the island.

I also like the idea of a low tide and high tide seasons. During low tide certain islands and biomes would be exposed, like a sunken city and shipwrecked boats. During high tide islands would be sunken.

I think the reef and ship graveyard should be together as one boime. It makes more sense this way because It should be a graveyard for a reason. All those ships needed to be taken down because of something and the jagged rocks should be that reason. it will give the sense that "you see all these wrecks, it could be your boat too"  It would be nice if there was some fog to impair your vision a little too.
