Really low framerate

Mee too ! It start at hurricane season. The hardest is when i'm near a volcano.

Here is a screenshot of a website "named can you run it" while selecting Don't Starve: Shipwrecked. If thats can help.

I can run many games with 45 FPS like Assassin's creed revelation for exemple.

My CPU is pretty weak but thats really all. Don't Starve shouldnt be a problem.

PS: Please excuse my english.

Thanks a lot !

I really (and regrettably) feel the need to put my two cents in here as well. Same story here as the people above, overqualified computer, yet the framerate drops to around 5-15 during hurricane season. It's actually very problematic for me because it has literally been the death a long run for me multiple times. Surviving 100+ days and having it ended because my framerate issues literally made me run slower than the hounds chasing me for some reason, and I just die, there's nothing I could do. It's very saddening. :wilson_hurt:

But have faith guys, it's still in alpha and the devs are probably hard at work on it. :wilson_goodjob:

@bizziboi I haven't had a lot of time to play since the update was released yesterday, I had just gotten into the storm season and I was noticing some more of the same (which actually made me just hop off for the night since I was tired anyway) but I'm playing some more now and I'm noticing a huge improvement actually. 35-50 fps!

If you would like, I can try to keep you updated on how things develop as time goes on but thank you very much to you guys, the devs, for all of your attention and work on this issue! :wilson_goodjob:

Let me know if you want more details on specific times when the lag gets worse and such.

It seems to have for me but I've only played a few hours and in one particularly long run the frames got pretty low, especially when I unlocked Walani and moved a considerable distance away from spawn, spent the whole time just exploring more than anything.

Its a bit better in first 2 seasons now, but the green season flooding and rain kills the framrates like nothing else so far.

Dry season is also very heavy, low framerates, so many things like low sanity + overheating overlay + heavy smoke, that gives epic fps drops.

So 2 first seasons are bearable fps wise, 2 others are still nightmare fps wise.

Have you tried relaunching? That tends to help a bit. Also bizziboi is at work on this right now so don't worry.

@SirBuizelton, @ImDaMisterL,@ProfMembrane,

Question - did this not improve at all with yesterday's patch?

If not, I might need some help from you guys to pinpoint what exactly is going on.

Actually i think since the new update my framerate is higher and i have in general higher performance.

Compared to the release where i had 30-40 fps, i have now 40-60 fps. But sometimes the game gets laggy without any reason at all. it even drops to 3 fps.
