Since there is a major troll problem about troll webbers in a world, I guess it would be better if spider eggs cannot be plantable near portal (should be allowed to be planted at least couple of screens away). Because there is a lot of troll webbers around who joins to a server, plants the egg and leaves the server, These guys intentionally join and put more than 2-3 eggs over time and when those eggs grow up it becomes impossible for others to join to the server. Regardless of whether it's PVP or PVE, I think there should be a buffer zone all around the portal of 1-2 screens. I'm thinking a 3x3 grid, with the portal in the center. No placing structures, no planting, no digging, no using books (On Tentacles, for example), no burning, nothing. Basically, aside from picking (berries, twigs, etc), you can't do anything that changes the environment in any way. The walls are just there to prevent the person from seeing/mouse-clicking the hole. I set the straw walls on fire when a player popped out on a pvp server. He/she died from over-heating. I think it caught them off guard or they were only focusing on trying to re-enter the wormhole. Next time I'll add a second layer of stone wall for a nice slow cook. There should be a way for people to re-enter wormholes without mouse-clicking. (If there's another method I've completely overlooked it) Thought it should be added along with Polar's suggestion. Anyone could do the same with the portal if they had enough time. Newbie or veteran... It took 1 Goose, 1 Deerclops, 1 Woodie, 1 Wigfrid to kill all of them XD...phew..
