Killer bees - how to combat them?

Recommended Posts

@SenL, Lureplants, Abigail, Clockwork Rook, giants. Treeguards, notably, lose horribly to bees.

Teaming up on killer beehives is also quite viable. One person lures out the bees, the other person wrecks the hives while the bees chase the other person.

really all you need is the bee hat and a violent tendancy. 8 may sound like alot  but you can ususally 2 shot bees  if you have the right weapons   and 8 low moving  bees is an easy kite job , after you murder the first 8 , spam on the 2 -3 that will spawn while you murder the hive . rinse repeat.

same is true for  multiple hives . kite kill  mop up the survivors.

Lureplants = win. Eyeplants spawned from them will just one shot bees.

Pretty much this. Just plant the eyeplants near the hives, wait for the eyes to spawn, let them kill the killerbees and go straight for the beehives and chop 'em to pieces. Though on a personal note I like to keep the killerbees biome untouched. :D

I have one method but its usefulness depends on your capabilities and/or needs. If there is a Kfant that I can't deal with yet (because of lag to be able to kite it properly or lack of armor/weapons) I scare the Kfant towards a specific Killer Bee nest to distract all the nearby bees and I could just go in and mess up any of the empty Killer Bee Nests to get the honey and honeycombs. Kfants are pretty sturdy and can last a long while depending on the number of bees currently attacking it. If the Kfant survives, you'd be left with some stingers and if you're lucky, some extra honey from the dead killer bees.

Note: I call Koalefants as Kfants, cause it's easier to type that out in chat, in-game than Koalefant.
