Dedicated Servers Closed Testing

Recommended Posts

Question on the dedicated servers, if no players are currently on the server will time still stop? Hopefully that is an option as the idea of playing for hours and then going to bed in say spring and waking up to the server being in winter would suck.

also interested in a key for my 5 man group if any are still being sent out.

Actually, that's the main goal of a dedicated server : being online even when nobody plays on it.

For now, time goes on even if noone is online but we can imagine a mod or an option which pause the simulator while noone is connected :-)

I would be greatly appreciated to recieve the key for Dedicated server. I have a wide range of experience in Linux servers configuration - hlds, steamcmd, srcds, Metamod, Amx etc. I hope to become usefull in testing and searching bugs.

Isnt the software due for release soon anyway?

I'm one of the beta testers and there are still a few things that I think need to be changed, like launching with a batch file and the executable name being so long that it took me 10 minutes to find.

Howdy, I'm interested in opting in for testing. I've got a decent server in an L.A. datacenter with little on it and I can carve out and set up Windows or Linux VMs of all shapes and sizes. I can test out both platforms as well as varying specs if there's anything you'd like me to try like limited bandwidth, limited specs, multiple servers on one machine. etc.

I read another forum post that said i could install the server files from the steam workshop, when i went through steamcmd it told me i dont have permission. When useing the windows client i do not see the dedicated server files for DST. Are these still invite-only keys or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance.

It is invite only, if you do not have a product key you will not be able to host the server, even if you have the necessary files.
