Cave/Adventure items and enemies can be spawned in but some do not show up properly to clients (e.g lanterns and maxwell lights don't show light for clients). Edit: The reason for no RoG is that they started working on DST with vanilla while RoG was still in progress. The reason for no caves or adventure mode is that there's no good way to handle secondary worldgen and the problem of "when someone goes in, what happens to the rest?" -- you might think that "well, they go in, but everyone else stays where they are" might work, but then the server is essentially hosting two worlds at once, and we already get enough problems with server lag as-is. Well, that sucks but they must have had a reason. Could you explain to me why there are no caves, RoG or adventure mode? The adventure mode really got me down.
