And that's about 40 pig houses (way more off-screen), highly recommended to make as many as possible if you want maximum Krampus spawns.Another plus side is hounds get raped if they try attacking me during the day, and I also have enough food to last me a full year. If you're that close they are always loaded into the games memory so they always go back into their houses before it goes pitch black. And they don't turn when they're inside their house obviously. By not letting it be some kind of super upgrade for the backpack the developers don't encourage farming it that much, which it's great, I think.
