([insert Sigh Here])

---------

". . .sheit."

Silas stood in the middle of the forest, glancing around for the two people that abandoned him.

"Well, assuming we aren't heading for the Mirror Marshes, they should be fine. Relatively. Ow."

A branch hit him in the head again.

"What is it with this forest hating me?"

The shadow "ran" a little ways ahead of Dorian and went up the side of a tree in an attempt to get a better look at things. She used her keen eyesight to try to spot any signs of Silas. Footprints, broken branches, and the like.

(I THOUGHT I ALREADY POSTED THIS.

DAMN IT ALL.)

It was impossible to see footprints in the forest due to the foliage of the leaves. A few stray branches can be seen, however, the white core of the snapped wood standing out from the sea of green and murky brown.

------

Leaves of pure blue began falling lazily from the cobalt tree; as the leaves landed, the sheen of the foliage turned murky, fading to a less wonderful gray. A ring of gray, speckled with surviving leaves of blue, formed around the trunk.

(GOD DAMMNIT, THE FORUM REALLY DOES HATE ME. WHY WONT POSTS EVER APPEAR)

(Also, Adam, it depends on when you're going to introduce yourself.)

Silas stopped searching for his friends and began walking in a random direction.

"I think that it's too early for a person, or persona, to die, so I shouldn't worry. In the meantime, let's see if anything here will remind me where we are."

(We'll wait. In the meantime, I'm adding your name to the storyboard I'm making.)

The tree of cobalt, once waving it's sheen of brilliant blue around as the wind picked up, now was a dead plant, it's luxurious leaves resting in a tarnished ring around it. The wind began gently blowing the tarnished lumps of leaves away, the separate leaves floating in the wind.

A soft whisper was flying in the wind, almost as if the leaves were sharing their knowledge with the ambiance of the world.

". . .hm?"

Silas stopped walking in the forest, holding his head high. Odd. It sounded like something was talking.
