First don't starve release.

That's a question for the old don't starve players (Yes, i'm looking at you), do you know what was the first don't starve public release? I don't mean the first beta, or the first update or whatever, i mean THE FIRST VERSION, like early alpha or even before. The oldest link i found was 28/08/2012, but i feel like the game have even an oldest version... What do you think? And, What do you know?

(Yeah i want to see how the game was in early alpha, or pre-alpha or whatever is it's name)

I joined around the Naughty and Nice update and it was a TON different than it is now, and that's an understatement.

 

Anyway it's possible it could have an older version than what you found, but I haven't done the research.

I joined around November 2012 Just after the hounds update.

Wow this game is that old? I thought it was made sometime in 2013. I came in when it was released on PS4. Had never really given it a chance till then even though I always saw it on the front page of Steam.

I started playing DS when the Progress! update came out, when the current research system and worldgen was being tested out, it was a lot different back then.

The oldest version of the game was only playable through the chrome store, so you will be hard pressed to find it available for download anywhere.
