# Spider symbol in a map

## Recommended Posts

Everyone knows that spider has 8 legs. Spiders in Don't starve world have 6, that's okay, since spiders there are different, but then why spider icon in a map has only 4 legs?

Becuz.

Because Wilson in the map have only his head.

Because Wilson in the map have only his head.

Yah, then why not to make spider icon legless?

Because that would require logic.

You must not be familiar with the workings of logic. If it's Don't Starve, there is none.

Oh look. The icon has fulfilled its life mission of being recognized as a spider. It doesn't matter how the legs look, because you already recognized it as a spider. Go dance, or something.

Same reason the Simpsons only have 4 fingers?

Dude I can't

Stop I can't

I like to think of spiders in Don't Starve as spider-ant hybrid. Which is why they have 6 legs, live in nests, have different roles (spider warriors), and have queens. And considering the amount of hybrid animals in this game, it makes sense.

Well, duh, the mathematical equation of this logical problem is 8 ** 6 + 7 / 23 which equals 262144.3043478261, now cube that and find what the square root is, then divide it by the square root. Which equals ~
