It may not have been the fasted way but I ended up killing it by starting a fire and then running in circles around the camp fire (so the tree pretty much stayed on top). Everyone once and a while I would lead the tree away to refuel it. For the big one I think it took around 6 times of catching on fire to kill him. NeedPants Posted December 9, 2012 Share Posted December 9, 2012 Hello there and welcome to the forums!There are 2 ways of killing a treeguard. U can light them on fire using a torch (select the torch as if u were going to drop it, but instead of dropping it, click on the treeguard) or u can use the unprotected campfire. This needs a little additional fuel tho so it actually sets the treeguard ablaze when he walks over it. The second way to kill him is kiting. Hit and run tactics. If u look at his attacks, he attacks rather slowly, there is alot of time between attacks. Try to bait an attack, but run out of range while hes swinging so he misses and his attack will be on cooldown. Then run in afterwards and hit him a few times. Then run away again b4 he hits u. Do not hit him when his attack is not on cooldown, he hits very hard. I hope this helps.
