genuinely, how did this post get derailed so heavily from "i think this skin could use some visual touch-ups" to "OP is evil, eats babies and drinks blood". sad that this'll probably be locked and be brushed off, 'cuz i agree with the guy :I

To change the subject back to the actual suggestion, I really like the subtle changes to the dress, the dress is already good but some small changes like that would be nice

these replies are genuinely so unhinged, it really isn't that deep and believing someone is subtly disrespecting women for requesting a small change that has already been seen on several of her skins especially without knowing anything else about the person is honestly super disrespectful and thoughtless, and especially when they clearly didn't mean any offense and just wanted to make it more accurate to the portrait. Op was polite and explained clearly the intent behind the changes and all you did was put words in their mouth.

I expected more from the forums, genuinely disgusting and deplorable behavior to baselessly accuse people of hate, almost as bad as being hateful itself.

The original skin definitely does not fit its portrait - the actual in-game skin looks clunkier and more rough. It doesn't convey the whimsical party mood the portrait was going for. I would even argue that the current portrait is false advertising as it shows a lot more elegant skin than what we see in the game. The proposed changes are subtle but they bring the skin in line with the promotional portrait art and elevate its look by a lot. To my personal taste, I wouldn't buy or equip the skin on the left but I can see enjoying wearing the one on the right. The right skin is not even smiling really, the default mouth is grumpy so now the actual neutral face is for some reason considered a "smile". But if anything, the proposed expression is simply a neutral mouth vs the grumpy off-putting face that's so prevalent in most Winona skins. Thanks for doing the touch ups on the skins, OP, I hope it will get changed.

I like OP's suggestions. It's kinda like with Maxwell's moonbound skin, where it initially looked very different from the portrait. No one felt weird about Magmatic Willow smiling, I don't see why this would be any different. 

I do like the changes OP made, especially to the dress.

tbh i dig any expression that breaks conventions, expression change like this would be nice i think. its more closer to the portrait than the typical smile atleast imo, not as bad as you may think

while i don't blame the op for doing it, since iirc winona does have that specific smile in some of her skins, I do think the base accusation from gaymime & balloony is not baseless and i wish that the people here wouldn't treat it as such

Man i like you but why are we bringng gender into this?? their request was to make it consistent with the image, not to just make her smile for whatever reason you're thinking of

accusing misogyny over something as small as a smile makes the word lose its meaning

i think she is more smiley in the suggestion is not only because of the lips but also eyebrow! 

and i also feel like she need to match the vibe of the potraits.. hell.. i want every skin character do the same. if we get something different the skin potrait is totally misleading cus when we buy we see the skin showed based on the potrait in the shop.. people need to check curio to see ingame skin ..

also different skin have different expression we need them back, do u see how willow magmatic skin have smirk while the other doesnt? its not that deep.

i totally would like the suggestion of OP edit be implemented.

Like yeah, they look good, but it just doesn't feel like it fits the character that makes dozens of catapults and generators.

I get that, but in this case, it actually is logical to make Winona smile? She's dressed up as a 1920s flapper, which is a social/party-type outfit. She's smiling in the portrait. It fits the vibe more, like how Walter's always smiling like he's thrilled to be here (because he is).

So what, only because she is engineer by trade she should be cursed with wearing clunky factory uniforms for every occasion, and a forever tired grumpy face? The skins are there to provide interesting different thematic looks, as long as the character is still recognisable there's nothing wrong with it looking slightly more elegant than her daily outfit. It's a party after all.

Does Triumphant Wormwood fit his theme as a lunar plant? Is Verdant WX in character? Victorian Wurt is no longer any sort of aquatic creature, but it's still one of the best skins in the game

And besides, Winona only has like 2 dress skins (3 if you actually count her Archaic toga as a dress), her guest of honor skin which is almost 10 years old at this point, and this new one

Speaking outside of the side of the conversation about misogyny: in general it seems like Winona is characterized as someone who just really likes parties or celebrations.  

Most guest of honor skins are neutral-faced and some of them even have a grumpier face than usual, meanwhile Winona is one of the only ones with a smile. (Walter and Wanda too, no idea why for Wanda but Walter is pretty much always smiling) Her merrymaker skin, a style for winter holiday celebrations, also has a smile. Additionally her quote for a pile of balloons impllies she really likes having Wes around for the party atmosphere.

Willow's magmatic skin has a big smile, cuz fire. But wilson's mad scientist skin doesnt, despite his love for science. Its a small detail that can be fun and cute when a character has an appearance thats basically made for them. Continuing with the theme of her just really enjoying parties makes sense. That being said, I honestly care for the suggested change to the dress much more than the smile, the current silhouette is a little too blocky, not just compared to the portrait but also based on actual flapper dresses.
