Not gonna lie, I still hate Wendy’s skill tree.. it’s one of the largest reasons I stopped playing the game, they took a character that was for the most part: Console Controller Friendly when using commands for her follower which was pretty much her ENTIRE gameplay gimmick, and they made that slower & more tedious. I want to be able to Summon, Dismiss, Soothe and Rile at the tap of a Dpad button prompt press again. Like why not just let it go then It’s hard to find a replacement for DS/DST, I enjoy the wacky cast of characters each with their own unique way of playing and interacting with the game (aka you’ll never be using Pipspook as a Divine Rod to locate lost toys for restless undead as anyone but Wendy) I enjoy the game world & it’s crazy mobs that inhabit it & look forward to seeing what types of mobs Klei creates that they feel fits within this world they’ve created. And for Solo DS I enjoyed how each DLC had its own Weather and gameplay gimmicks. You can’t tell a Halo fan who despised Halo Reach to just stop liking Halo because they didn’t enjoy reach, same concept applies here bro. I would have stopped playing Resident Evil games at 5, but luckily I didn’t.. and now 7 proudly sits as probably my favorite in the entire franchise. Just because I don’t like the gameplay or direction of DST, does NOT mean I wouldn’t enjoy it again if a cool update, or a sequel came out. Sonic Frontiers is (rather bizarrely) acclaimed as the best Sonic game ever created, I played it… I BEAT it 100%, and I did not like it. My favorite will probably remain to be 3+Knuckles, or it’s entirely possible- Frontiers 2 will address the lack of environments, & traditional known sonic mobs that Frontiers 1 lacked. THAT is why I stay on these forums, because despite not actually playing the game since idk at least several updates ago, my heart still loves the art style, the characters, the skins that Klei come up with, and I hope that something I actually want to interact with be it DLC, or a new entry into the franchise entirely, eventually gets me to actively want to play again..?
